Any of you chaps off to Le Mans this year?

Just been prepping the 5 this aft for the trip down there.... Early boat from Poole to Cherbourg then a blast down there Wednesday AM.

Should be a good one this year, hopefully the dirty Germans won't walk it again in the 4 Audi's that they're bringing!

Last time I went in the 5 a couple of years ago I had a bit of a run in with the local Gendarme, dusting off some local boy racer types. He practically crashed into me pulling me over on his cop bike and I could have sworn he was gonna lamp me, he was SO angry!!! He had to go off and have a word with himself to calm down as his mate took over, then came back and gave me a lot of verbals in French foaming at the mouth! Think I was lucky to keep my keys....!

Run from Cherbourg to Le Mans is a lot of fun. Go cross country and give yourself some time to enjoy the awesome flowing roads and sleepy villages en route. Epic.

Yup !!!! Heading off tomorrow morning, me, my old man , one uncle and two cousins in a camper van It will get messy !!!!!!

Just programmed Mr TomTom to take me a nice route, looking forward to it if the rain holds off! Looks like a nice route TK, sound.

Will be staying in Maison Blanche

Not looking forward to the 5am alarm call in the morning though
