Anyone reliable in Lincs/yorks area. Carb rebuild required.

Hey guys,

My car is 99.9% standard and drives great but just needs a little more "va va voom"

I've got a slight flat spot at 2100rpm on WOT so I'm thinking have my carb overhauled and re jetted for 13-15psi

All I need is advice on who is reliable in my area to overhaul the carb, set it up and adjust the boost properly.

Who have you guys tried?

I used a set of eBay micro drill bits, a rtoc rebuild kit,a rtoc carb rebuild kit and a bag of patience.

Pretty straightforward. No voodoo stuff.

Sounds like the accel pump needs adjusting, there are a few threads on here explaning how to do it with a 5mm drill.

I could buy the first bits no problem, but no matter how hard I search eBay I can't find any bags of patience for sale. Sadly, that's what I lack more than anything. Also I want the peace of mind of knowing someone who knows Renault 5s has set the fuelling to the boost, and it's not been done by a monkey wielding spanners (like me)

To set the fueling correctly with will need a whole bunch more patience and something to monitor air to fuel ratio.

Bogg brothers at East Lutton, near Driffield, East Yorkshire have worked on 5's before and have been tuning carb engines for 30 years.

Give them a go.

Is there no members in your area that can help you do a rebuild ? Its quite an easy job.
