    Car Spluttering ??

    MY RAIDER HAS BEEN RECENTLY FARTING ON WHEN I ACCELERATE THRU HIGHER REVS ,SO I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE DAMP, BUT ITS GOT WORSE AND IT HAPPENS EVEN WHEN WARM AND TONIGHT IT CONKED AS IF MY PLUGS HAD BEEN NICKED WHILE I WAS DRIVING??? ANY IDEAS?? COULD BE TDC LEAD OR SUMMIT?? COS I TWIGGLED ON WITH A FEW BITS NOTHING IN GENERAL AND IT WAS FINE??? COULD IT BE DIZZY? COS THATS BEEN SQUEELING ON A LOT MORE THAN USUAL?

    plugs been cleaned which werent pitted, and oil filter air filter all fairly new,

    HT leads ok? Just try all the little common things that cause this one by one...

    Spark plugs should be renewed, not cleaned along with the :
    HT leads
    Dizzy cap
    Rotor arm
    Air filter
    Fuel filter
    oil filter

    as part of a sevice.

    What spark plugs are you currently using ?

    i think people say check your tdc lead, ive never had trouble.. mines slways a shattty carb or carb freeze..

    cheers chaps ill try the lot, what recommended plugs should i use, ive got standard ones on nothing flash.
