    Trying to identify bodyshop tool

Hi everyone just one more random question before bedtime! Several years ago I did alot of work on a old mini at my mates bodyshop, he had this great little grinding air tool which used emery type sanding/grinding discs mounted to a plastic base.

Now I have no idea what this tool was called but after searching around looking at air tools I reckon it might of been a 1/4" air angle die grinder.
After a some googling I came across this sealey grinder/sander kit
http://www.sealeypower.com/item.asp?item_id=132292 and the discs seen in the top of the box are the ones I am after, does anyone know where these can be purchased as a standalone product rather than having to buy large assortment sets?

sounds like you're after a mini DA, try your local body shop / paint suppliers!

That might be it mate I just distinctly remember the discs having like a plastic back and shaft which was then mounted into the tool.

the tool you are talking about is a die grider with a 90 degree head on that only spins, they are quite good for prepping areas where you are going to weld or removing small areas of rust. The tool that scoff is talking about is totalley diffrent in that it spins and moves in two directions hence the name d.a dual action. This tool is better for prepping for paint in small areas where a conventional d.a will not fit.

    lol that inspires confidence.

Is cool scoff I appreciate any and all feedback from members, I think i'm also going to get a mini da anyway as I need to repaint the sills/door steps on my pug and a larger da would just be overkill.
