Prima racing did a Clio corsa rally replica kit , and that's why the prima wheels are the same as the speedlines.

These are one of the best looking wheels around for Clios or 5s, the only problem with them , that there not kerb friendly due to the spokes sticking out about an inch!!!!!!!!

I think they look right in the 1st picture, get them painted anthracite with a polished lip and they will look great.

yuppers, refurbing wheels is becoming second nature now, although if they fit i may run them on the mx5 through winter but we will see. Either way they will 100% get a colour change, probably not a polished outer lip as i have the rms for summer.

Dj will they fit the mx5?

I really fancy having a go refurbing some wheels, i have a huge compressor at work, line and a gun, just need a bit of bottle

My mini wheels are shot, diamond cut, they never last so i have fancied rubbing down the cut sections and just painting them silver, just not sure if its going to look gash.

    Re: what wheels are these?

yea mx5s are 4x100 , same as renault/vw , its great , huge wheel selection.

As for them wheels they will be easy matey, normal bodyfiller can be used on wheels to fill deep scratches/dents.

Its really easy matey, could knock you up a quick step by step on how to do it easy enough.. best bet is to post a few pics of the alloys up first, if there lacquered you will have to sand back any bad ideas of lacquer until it feathers out into the good areas, that will be the most tiem consuming bit.

If you have loads of time on your hands you cut sand back the diamond cut areas to good material and then polish them back up.. im doing some rm lips at the moment.. definatly a job to do in front of the tv though otherwise you will go mad.

That was my first thought sand right back with various grades to get a polished finish, do you then have to lacquer, also will they not go bad after driving around in the rain, snow etc?

You think it would look bad then andy? i have been to a alloy refurb place and they can do a black and silver paint job and it looks good, i just do not want to pay £300 to get them re diamond cut for them to start flaking and going milky again.

    Re: what wheels are these?

best bet is to leave them unlacquered matey.. really you cant take them out in the snow.. rain etc is fine just keep them well waxed up with a good quality wax.. but the salt will kill pretty much any good finish on a wheel, (crappy winter wheels are the way forwards).

Basically polishing is just a case of going through the various grades to remove all teh lacquer and then any pitting left, and then polishing them up, but it really is major labour intensive spec stuff.

The other option is to sign up to edition 38.. (vw forum) theres a lot of wheel nuts on there.. plenty of guys who will polishing up wheels to a better standard than when new for realistic money.
