Unless an AC cobra has turned into a Clio I very much doubt it is theirs

you're quite at one with the engine... do you have any plans for firewall or anything or do you just drive around with the blower on for fresh air

...mine used to breath oil fumes like a bugger!!

I bet the power to weight is good tho'

I've got a bit of metal between the back seats and the engine on a frame, it's made out of steel but I think I'll be changing it to aluminum at some point, and then a sheet of 4mm polycarbinate for the upper half so you can still see the engine in your rear view.. it was mainly incase of fluids suddenly erupting, which I experienced when a top hose blew.. I was kind of glad I had the polycarb in place when that happened it went everywhere except down my neck !!

This year I'll be building an aluminum frame and sheeting a bit like the rally turbo 2's over the engine in an attempt to cut down on the fumes

he's a pic whilst I was making it.. most of it is removable with a few bolts for ease of access to the engine

Andy, you could seal the bulkhead up gas tight to kill the fumes and noise, even with a tight fitting cover over my old rear engine you still got sick of the fumes after a couple hours driving.

Have a look at andy's clio conversion, he's welded a bulkhead in tight, sealed it up and uses a glass window in a rubber, it's real smart

I know its limited for space, but securing the harnesses there will be as helpful as using string if it gets rear-ended.

I have to admit that looks real neat! ..I was hoping get a bit of storage over the engine for a few road trips.. although that method looks quite lightweight and secure - I notice he hasn't got a roll cage to navigate.. I'll have to get the expanding foam out ..

you see that bar in front of the roll cage that's where mine are.. the angle is a little tight but I think it's safe

Mr Blocky certainly doesn't do things by halves!!! If it makes anywhere near the power of Mikes corrado it will be very interesting indeed!!
