    Gotlink?

Googling "Paul James insurance" results in a florida based insurance company.

Which company is actually providing the insurance, as i assume Paul James is just the broker...?

Googing the phone number reveals that it's Peter James Insurance. Perhaps his friends call him Paul

I'd still like to know which insurance company they're put you with.... Adrian Fux always try and sell me Equity Red Star policies, which i avoid since they screwed me on my 205 GTi.

    Re: Can't be bad

Just tried a quote online...... Doesn't take mods into account but £92.64 for a years insurance sounds pretty reasonable.

    After more digging about PJI..... (i'd never heard of the company);

    Stirling Moss & PJI

    http://www.stewartmillerinsurance.co.uk/
As part of the Stewart Miller Group we sit alongside Peter James Insurance which specialises in the provision of Insurance for niche/affinity groups primarily in the Specialist Vehicle field.

I've sent PJI an email with my quote reference and a link to my modification list....

i'll let you know how happy he quotes me.

Re: Can't be bad : Peter James Insurance

Just looked through my notes of two weeks ago.

This was the Peter James quote for me on the 12 year old Cinquecento 1100cc. Naturally aspirated making about 60bhp. Value £1500. Max NCB, bad post code.

    http://www.peterjamesinsurance.co.uk
Fully Comp, mods declared, parked on street, protected bonus,
    3000 miles
    Quoted £800

The bloke there knew the computer had given a ridiculous quote but he couldn't be bothered to try and reduce it.

Same for FJ. They just don't want to know unless the car is over 20 years.

Re: Can't be bad : Peter James Insurance

    F*** me.
I've certainly been quoted happy.... £231.

Which, with my complete mod list (see link above) is pretty good. It beats Adrian Fux by £120, and they only knew about half of the mods

Needless to say, pending reading the policy documentation... i'll be getting myself insured with PJI.

Policy is with Equity Red Star
