    Trouble selling, what to do?

im having little interest selling my moddified 5, so thinking of taking another option.
Heres some pics, the car smokes on start up i think maybee its piston rings
    i could.
1: keep it moddified as it is fix the problems and continue trying to sell it.
2: put origenal bumpers & grill on it (already have tailgate and skirts) paint them blue & keep the clio wheels on, fix the smoke issue & try sell it?
    3: break it?

Re: Trouble selling, what route take?

the problems the wheels, the spoiler, the skirts.. the front and rear bumper aren't that in your face but OE just sells 5's..

as for the smoking, i dont think some people give a f2ck.. you can sell a 5 with rot, a blown engine and a group a dump valve for a grand, yet a good honest running gtt with tax and mot just scrapes 1400..

you'll have to hold out, theres nothing you can do that isn't gonna cost you more money to sell it.. breaking it might be your best bet if it doesn't go, just keep the shell rolling and someone will buy it.. strip it to far and its junk..

indeed ebay that car dude.. The audience that will like that car will scour ebay, its your best bet, worst case if it dosent sell is that you end up £8 down so at least give it a go once.. dont set reserves just put it up at the lowest your planning to take and see how it goes.

Surely that should easily fetch 1500 notes, you see ****e corsas going for money like that and this is far more unique.

Re: Trouble selling, what route take?

if you could blag a cheap oe set of bumpers in tungy, skirts and archs i think you could be onto a winner.. the two tone thing goes down well, some oe wheels or anything like that would get more interest..

but you want it fecked off and ebays the place to get rid fast.. just be careful as alot of people that sell cars get mates to bid them up and end up winning them back, hence they say the seller let them down again and again and again.. id expect alot of the cars sold on ebay are still with the original sellers

i know i'd be bumping up the price and wouldn't let it go for less than i wanted

I can't believe your cars not selling it looks like it's straight of an magazine from early 2000's.

Looks really nice apart from the wheels think some Momo sport or Porsche D90 alloys would finish it off for me.

just had a message from cgb asking if i had a buy out price.
i told him no im letting the auction run.
it would be a shame to have it broke especially as the car is so tidy.

im glad its getting the bids on ebay, after having little interest on pistonheads.
but im still a bit concerned people are bidding on it but i have had no messages from bidders asking about the car which i find strange. lets hope there not messers.
i think the car is worth the £2300 its up to and im confident if the winner bidder actually turns up he/she will buy it the car is very tidy body work is shiney and dent free interior is mint the shell is completly solid and everything works.
if bling is there thing its a good buy

The thing with ebay is your are advertising to a large amount of people who don't know any better so they would of never have seen it on pistonheads before let alone know what that site is!

Have to agree with Bigfoot though ebay is the home of alot of messers
