    Painted rear inner arches
    Refitted refuel neck
Lowered the rear and fitted GAZ dampers
    New rear pads
New ball joints and track ends

Well I got the exhaust fitted finally, although the scorpion system was a right bitch to get it to fit right.

Right, I'm thinking I may go back to standard wheels and sell the turbines. What do people think??

    Keep the Turbines....

Tyres are easily available... handy incase u ever get a puncture... standard wheels are fine for show, tyres are harder to get hold of, although GTT's handle better on standard wheels.

Cheers for the feedback on the wheels; The reason for thinking of selling the wheel is to fund new tyres for the standard wheels.

Last night I sorted the last of the electrical issues, all gauges now working I spiced the engine harness to the chassis harness, as that connector that sits below the headlight is terrible

Engine is now running swet, although i will need to check it on a AFR Gauge to be sure. I drove her down the street yesterday to free the siezed clutch plate

Thanks guys for the comments; yeh I wasn't too sure if the black would work myself, but well happy. I'm looking forward to the national day this year, it will be good to meet some people from the forum and have a look at the cars

I've fallen behind today as my little girl was rushed into hospital this Morning? We're home now so good news there.

I think you maybe onto something there Steve. I might give that a try

Car is smoking at the moment on boost, no oil in intake pipes or turbo so need to investigate later

I think I've found the problem for it smoking, the one way value in the breather isn't a one way valve, it a round bit of plastic with a little hole in the middle?????

It actually looks very 'retro'. I like it! As said, red bumper strips would look really cool. The plastic 'valve' you mention is a restrictor. A far as i remember, the breather system doesn't have an inline NRV.

    Re: Phase 1 project

Seeing as I now own this car , I will keep this project thread going & keep you updated.

    My list so far is
    1) Repaint Bonnet
    2) Repaint Fuel Cap Cover
    3) Refurbish Alloy wheels
    4) Fit Passenger Door Decals

Not to much atm, I have been looking around at a few other Pearl white 5 on here, I have never had one before, I am very tempted to look at getting a ph1 body kit painted either Pearl White or the Matt White to look like the moulded colour....

    Re: Phase 1 project

Not done a huge amount to the car atm, today was the 1st time I have had a chance to wash it...

I will be keeping the body kit black for now...

Today I am off to get some prices to paint the bonnett & fuel cap cover...

The wheels are getting shot blasted & powder coated asap

Here are some pics of it looking clean

You can see why the bonnet needs painting (have ordered some brand new front indicators next some new headlights
