4" of snow here again, not as bad as last lot yet
4" of snow here again, not as bad as last lot yet
We've had about 5" of snow over saturday and its not shifted today either. Put a stop to the few jobs i wanted to do today.
Looked at the weather and over the week we're meant to be having few more snow showers, not too sure how bad though.
Got back to Swindon just now from London and doesn't seem as bad here as it does there. However, the paths that I have to walk into work tomorrow look NASTY so think I may need to leave a little earlier than usual.
Is that a safety tip Marc or do you just want me to look silly? I've got my wellies on standby, I'll be alright
put a sock over your boot and you will get grip. try it
Since I'm laid up; there's nothing funnier than watching the wildlife, in my back garden, getting p***ed on my wind fell apples (i.e. robbins, badgers, foxes, rabbits, bruce (my dog), Jaffa and others carrying on and rolling about *lol*). Though today molly came through the fence..... mmm could be something different for Christmas dinner this year
Ive just walked down the lane to my house a min ago and looked at the thermometer outside the kitchen window....No joke, its reading minus 12 out there !!
those that have visited my place will appreciate how much fun getting out in snow will be. Due to the close proximity of walls there isn't really anywhere to put the snow..
I got home on Sunday to find the snow pretty deep around my gate.
I had to dig enough space to drive the twingo into to get the bus out. I drove the bus out across the virgin snow and parked it in a carpark that noone had tried to use (the 2 cars in front of me turned back on the road that led past the carpark). I parked there because it'll be easier to get in and out of than my place...

Andrew - Twingo looks like a high rise camper van with all that snow
I've done 70 odd days straight now, and am booked to come home this week for Christmas and my 30th B'day. With all this snow it looks like i wont make it home at this rate. Plus Croft will be pants in the snow again
Arse.
Spot on timing for having some roofing work carried out!
it's started snowing again in bracknell
andy those dam polish geazzers neaver stop working
Andy, fair play to your roofer!!
Starting again in Swindon, boss is telling us to go work from home but it's really not that bad. It was worse than this in London over the weekend and it didn't stop us doing anything - we actually got more done than usual and in less time as the roads were so clear
Sun's out, Summer is back on...
Wellington: Fairly gusty nor'westers but sunny. Boxing Day - sunny with lighter winds. Wellington has been lashed by a gusty northerly with the temperature 21C across the city and up to the Kapiti Coast.
A gusty nor'wester is driving temperatures up along the South Island's east coast. Yesterday Kaikoura took the national high with 34C and this afternoon it is 30C with winds gusting to 85km/h.
got about 35cm now and its still comin down
