ok folks.. engine is a 1.9 xud 8v diesel turbo engine from a 306..
engine is out the car and ive been having trouble removing the bottom bolt that holds the pulley on. Air gun had no effect, so i locked the crank and the cam using 8mm bolts.. now i know this was stupid however it was freezing and i didnt think straight.. anyway, i levered on a spanner to remove it, the cambelt slipped on the lower pulley so now its out of time, my question is could it of caused any damage being it was on using a spanner, how if you try to move engine round using a spanner it locks up and will only do about a third of a turn in either direction..
Tomorrow i plan to get hold of a more powerfull impact gun to attempt to remove the bolt, hoping i can just time it all back up and jobs a guddon.
