Re: plans for the winter/new year

which one off here are you going to look at matey? iv seen that nice pearl white one up for sale.
yeah my back is driving me insane mate cant do bloody anything feel useless hardly getting any sleep hence me posting on here at silly o clock.

bodywork wise iv got a different bonnet and drivers door to fit and paint plus a different set of morettes to fit and paint. then there is a couple of bits around windscreen and a bit on the roof plus the drivers outer sill is bubbling up a little bit so will get that sorted at same time.
going to relocate the battery to boot and if the engine comes out for any reason i will tidy the engine bay up myself

Wish it was the pearl White one! Lol bit outa my price range tho. Salty blade pm'd me to see if I was interested in his red one, seems solid from his progress thread and engine's bin refreshed recently, doesn't want alot for it too and it has 9month tax and test, think it wud be a great project. Think it just wants a respray so might get it dun if I buy it, get r lasses uncle to to do it. He has just sprayed his dodge dart and looks mint!. Have a look at salty blades thread if your bored let me know wot u think, he got it off another member on here but can't remember his name. Hope ya back on ur feet soon buddy

booking car in with longlife stockport to get the full 2.5" system fitted on 21st jan, will be a nice chance to give the car a bit of a drive as its not moved since mid december and ideal to check the fuelling since changing 1st stage back to standard on carb.

I fancy a bigger 2.5" exhaust myself blunty .... How much that gonna set you back if you dont mind me askin fella ?

Also interested in a mapable ignition system ... should help the midrange for sure and general driveability ... will keep a eye out how you get on ... what parts are needed to have a go at this... ???

no probs fella ill be sure to update the thread and might even make a separate thread on the results of mappable ignition

anyway here is the stuff required off http://www.trigger-wheels.com/store/...en-uk/d59.html

    You want:

    Load sensor type: MAP sensor
    EDIS Kit: 4 cylinder
Trigger wheel: None - I can do the light-weight wheel and C1J bracket/sensor combo
Coilpack bracket: Up to you, perhaps you can make your own, but for £17.50 you might as well buy one of theirs.
    Harness kit: No
    Spark plug leads: 4 cylinder
    Crank sensor bracket: No
USB Adaptor: No, unless you need one and fancy being able to fiddle the ECU afterward
    Tacho driver: No

That lot seems to come in at £261, plus P&P I guess.

Then you'll need the trigger wheel, C1J bracket and matching sensor which I do to members for £60.

the above was sent to me courtesy of scoff

Make sure they don't use any bit of your old system like a firm did with my old car, some places find it hard to make the flange which bolts to the downpipe so they used a section of my old Scorpion, lost me a few bhp

Be good to see pics of it when done though

well guys am off to longlife today so will have a few pics and vid later on for you all.

went out to my car last night re connected battery and it started on the 2nd turn was a bit groggy for 1-2 mins but totally fine from there on. Left it to warm up for another 5 mins then took it for a bit of a shakedown managed to glance at the fuelling and it seems better noticed around 11.3-11.4 on full boost, i never went above 4.5 k though so will have a proper check once this system is fitted.

Black Light is pretty impressive. I bought some last year, along with some V7 sealant to go on the top, but haven't tried the V7 yet.

Let me know how you get on with the Butter Wax. That could be one of my next purchases. I REALLY like Chemical Guys stuff

cant fault you in that sense matey, iv got some detailer here think its muc off stuff its really good.
wax wise iv been using either ag hd wax or dodo juice supernatural hybrid so will be good compare the cg butter wet wax to them

My favourite wax is DoDo Blue Velvet. I've tried the standard SuperNatural, and tbh the Blue Velvet is MUCH better on my car. I'd like to try the AG HD stuff, as it's supposed to be impressive. I also fancy trying some of the Swissvax waxes as some point

i will be honest the ag hd wax is more durable than the dodo sn hybrid, and it seemed to have better beading qualities. its a very good wax for the money thats for sure.

iv not tried the blue velvet but i have heard its rather decent, swissvax do some great stuff, also check out autobrite

Yea, I'd probably use the HD wax before a winter, for it's durability. I've never looked at any Autobrite stuff - I'll add it to the list

Re: plans for the winter/new year

just bought the cleaning solution for the interior valet pro heavy duty, and valet pro enzyme odour eater.

also iv invested in a set of oe headlights as morrettes just aint for me, so they are now for sale.
And just as a heads up opie oils have got a decent sale on atm i got 4 litres of castrol magnatec for £22 delivered, so hoping get the car sorted interior wise then do an oil/filter change and be back on the road end of march/early april. Will then be paying scoff at efi parts a visit to get this megajolt fitted and mapped
