Glenn Hi5 - New times at Santa pod today

Sat at pod in the que, so thought I would post this up. Glenn's first run of the day was 11.20 at 124, still at base settings :-) We mapped for quite a lot more boost last week so we'll see how it goes.

11.20! Thats good going, not far off the 11.1 target.

I think a 10 is getting close now.

Re: Glenn Hi5 - New times at Santa pod today

Long day today, worth it though. The que's were frustrating, I remembered why I don't do RYWB's - crap prep, crap service.

The car was spot on again all day, well done to glenn for some awsome driving. Rob, you're bang on, I've never seen an 8th so quick from a GTT ever. Launch was bang on, gear changes right on the money, but annoyingly the first run was the only time the track was any good. The rest of the day we were having to pull power out of 1st gear. Then, come the HKS qual session they glued the track again and it was ace. A storming 60' was had shortly afterward only to be followed by a slipping clutch in 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Turns out the pedal quadrant had jammed up and was keeping the cable under tension. easy fix but track had closed by the time we were ready to rock again. We didn't even get chance to try the new settings or boost. Hoping flame and thunder will be dry.

    Quick update lads.

Last week we re-mapped glenn's car on some new 600cc injectors having maxed the 440cc's that were in before.

Today he's away racing again and just phoned me to say he's done another 11.2 @ 128.1 mph with 100mph in the 1/8th C1J power

Struggling for grip a little bit, 60 foot's only in 1.8's so he's back out with slightly less power in 1st gear to try and make it hook up.

Not wanting to hijack the thread, what tyres are you all using now & do they fit under the arches without mods, gonna be needing some for next year

MH 23" x 8 racemasters... is what glen ran but he will but upping the size.. I wouldnt recommend going to the 24.5 (which glen needs) unless you can match his 128mph trap from the off... they do a 22" inch option that works well for say 115mph trap cars.. DONT get them old mt`s back on them days are well over...

Cheers Rob, are they 13/14/15 ?? & what rims will they fit 8" is pretty wide if it's a 13...
115mph sounds about right at the mo (if I'm lucky..) aiming for low 12's 1st off.

glenn, we're going to have to rig you up an incar so that we can get your reactions like this guy

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UO9QtgizSig

Btw, that's Chris miller of NRG running regular 8's in his B18 Honda (Rob is his No.1 superfan ). Notice how he jumps on the brakes before the end of the track on both runs to stop him breaking out of the class.

Hmmm Bracket racing to 8.5...... that car is nuts... hes pulled low 1.5 even 1.4 60fts... how the **** do you do that with a 72mm blower and a lagy as **** motor... guna be a 7 sec car that one day... fook me hes blowing away the hot rod class with pizza cutters etc (wheeli bars)... now never mind miller, what about pepsi and his 10.1 with a N/A motor... wtf!!!
