Insuring a modified roll caged gt turbo

My car is near mot, so looking at insurance.

As per other threads and searches, i have a few numbers to hand. I tried footman james and im not getting cover due to the extensive modifications but mainly due to the roll cage and back seats being missing.

Who had a car insured with similar mods and which companies will cover?

    thanks phil

HIC cover mine no problem, plus do NCB matching if you insure with two cars.

I was with insureyourmotor.com a few years back, they allowed a rollcage, it didn't half put it up though, really surprised me as I tried to argue it was a saftey feature, they reckon it makes it more desirable to steal
I think performance direct may as well.

Cost me £600 fully comp with 4 yrs NCB all mods declared IIRC.

Nah my NCB was on my daily driver at the time, plus on classic policy's you dont accrue any NCB anyway...

Like has been said, haggle with them, I think I used a quote from Jason at Sky Insurance to beat them up on price.
