    Dangeling rad fan relay

Is this supposed to dangle down in front of the alt??
Also the relay is encased in a waterproof round cover, does the relay come out of it to replace like for like, or is it a complete unit you have to replace??

nope, there was a popper for it and its either meant to clip just behind the grill clip, look for a hole, or along the slam panel.. thats where i have mine now as my clip broke..

i'd need to have a closer look, numbers mean nuffin to me.. its just a relay so anything off the shelf will work, but it wont sit in that lovely rubber ring like before.. do what we do and steal them out of all the renaults being broken..

    win

    win

Does the fan use a standard 4/5 pin relay or is it some propriety renault one?

I assume if you're looking for a new one the current one isn't working then?

I was thinking more along the lines of pin configuration, meh it's probably the same I can't remember it was ages ago I binned my loom.

You can use just a 4 (or even a 5 pin) pin relay wired to the alternator and fan switch to operate the rad fan, that way it is independent of anything else.

Are you using the anti perc fan or fog lights?

If not and still have the relays in place they are the same as the fan relay, all relays in under the bonnet are the same.

Which relay is the anti perc, the one closest or furthest from the headlight?
