my new project.... may I introduce the rat

Hi Guys if some of you can remember i bought this 5 back to life

    https://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?t=379

well got made to sell it by my bitch of an ex (bad times) however ive got a new toy
so may i introduce the one i call the rat

so far ive stripped it to bare shell as the guy who sold it me told me it was rust free but well what a suprise it wasnt

so found a mobile welder who to be fair is a great lad so will post his number
    PS Welding 07505418419
good rates and decent guy to chat with well into his cars

    and this happened today

    before

    after

    before

    after

more to come as he hasnt finished and the stuff he has done im flattening down and hammeriting

im stripping this one aswell. so far removed all sound deadening from the rear and bought a few cheeky bits for it.
she does run but the engine needs some work and i want a full yellow samco set.
but future plans are to leave her silver but keep wheels black and spray wing mirrors black and thinking possible black checks on the roof but in sticker form so i can remove them if not a fan.

i will update as it evolves
and thanks so far to those who have helped me

looking good dude, any bits you want spraying, sills etc dont hammerite matey as it will cause any paint that goes on over the top to react like a badboy keep it updated.

Only hammeriting the inner wings, slam panels, rear inner archs no outer stuff which needs spraying

sweeeet, it might be worth investing in a tub of seam sealer, you could grab it from halfords, they sell one called grey strip, you just brush it on with a big paintbrush, it will look closer to factory, hide any welds to stop it looking patched up and then once its gone off hammerite it, just incase you miss any small gaps between welds and water sits in then and rots away at the welds.

about £10 or somthing, comes in tins, you will only use a bit, just buy some cheap paint brushes with it and throw them away ..

once applied leave it for about 24 hours before overpainting it, will give a good finish
