    tow eye strap opinion

    i just wonder if any1 has used a tow eye strap before ? are they any good.
    since i have mounted my front mount intercooler the oe tow hook is not accessable with out removing the intercooler which i dont really want to remove if i need to be towed and i did find these on ebay any thoughts

    I have one on the van as i have had to lose the o.e towing eye, mine is bolted straight through the subframe. Good enough to get you away if you break down imo

    i towed a mate with one a few weeks back and it was spot on the rope even snaped but that lasted through.

    the only prob i could see is if you were to get towed by someone with one of those sprung bars it could ruin something

    Spring bar is a no go, chain or rope would do.

    the only people that i would probley get towed by is the aa. dont they use the sprung bars

    Aa have fold up dollys in the back of the vans.

    If you go to pod or a trackday and break down you will though, same as if they pull you on a low loader.
