Hi steven would love to help but just haven't got the time, trying to sort cars out for national day etc. Best thing i can offer is get some pics up of what stage your at in the engine bay and we can all talk you through it.

Steve, any chance you can take a picture straight in front of the car looking down, so you get the full bay in makes it a bit easier.

    Re: Help Needed

Ok for starters looking at the water pump from the bottom up:

big outlet at the bottom goes to bottom radiator outlet
Next one goes to right and side bottom header tank
Biggest water pump outlet goes to top of rad ( should have a thermostat in this and a bleed nipple on it)
Next goes to the top side swirl pot outlet

    Re: Help Needed

ok where to begin,1 where do the oil pipes go to from above the filter ?
2 the yellow pipe that has a metal t-piece has a union on the other end so ive screwed it to the base of the oil feed pipe for the turbo, is this correct ?
3 where does the pipe that comes from the left of the yellow t-piece, as you look at it go to ?
4 on the sump pan at the front of the engine theres a red silicone 90 degree hose, what goes to that ?
5 on the left of the carb lobster there is two outlets what goes on to the back outlet ?
6 where does the tdc sensor bolt to on the engine ?
7 ive already established that the accelorator cable between a phase 1 and 2 are different as one mounts from the left and the other from the right, my cable should mount from the left but as the engine is not from this car the carb brackets say it should mount from the right. Would buying the other cable cure my problem or is it not that simple ?

1 oil pipes above the filter go to the side of the rad on the gtt, like a cheap built in cooler, this is assuming you have the gtt rad?

    4. Turbo oil return hose. Starting from the sump end, the 90 degree hose connects to a metal pipe and then to another 90 degree hose and finally to the bottom of the turbo.

    5. Loop them together

    6. Above the flywheel

2 yellow pipe is not on the gtt as standard, could be part of an after market oil pressure / temp gauge, not sure why it has a t piece either

2-3. It may be coming from the AEI, in which case one end would connect to the very back lower port on the carb and the other free end most likely to a D.V.

Yeah i thought about that but one ends got a union on it. The diameter of that black hose coming off the t piece looks massive too.

yes pal at the end of the thin yellow pipe theres a union and a place for it to screw in to at the base of the oil feed for the tubby, i just assumed thats where it went but also dont understand why vac pipes would have an oil feed going in to it ?

Ok need to use some vaccum hose with an internal diameter of 3mm or 5mm with a t piece to match (if you using a dump valve) so you will hook up the aei, outlet on the right hand side of the inlet manifold neck and dump valve.

feck nows mate, probably would be best to strip all the pipes off this engine and start again, doing one thing at a time with our guidance

i am planning on using a dumper so i will do that and ditch the yellow pipe and union all together.

looking at the diagram rob put up of the oil pipework, there seems to be something like a bolt or a sensor under the banjo bolt for the turbo oil feed ? could be a sensor for the dash clocks maybe ? just a thought.

looking at the diagram im just missing the pipe ends that go to the rad from the flexies, there are two inserts on the rad for these that just have plastic blanking caps on.

Yeah mate thats the for the standard oil pressure gauge, alot of them on the gtt dont work any more or intermittently.

should just thread into the rad, if they are missing off your rubber pipes they are knackered

you could put a bolt into the turbo oil feed line or an after market oil pressure gauge capillary line, or electric sender unit could be fitted there. The yellow vaccum hose cant be used here as a cheap capillary line as oil will make it perish.

He could of been using a separate oil rad to hook the rubber hoses up too.
