Re: Petrol (unleaded) now sub £1

i think diesel is still 104 round here, more so for the top stuff..

put £15 in the 5 the other day and the difference in needle movement was loads compared to the peek of silly pump costs.. my gauge is sensitive on the first 1/2 of its movement, less so for the second 1/2.. i think i was on par for a £35 fill up?? but when it might only do just over 220 miles

my vans getting me 200miles to £17 of the expensive diesel

Re: Petrol (unleaded) now sub £1

petrol will drop a little more yet!!! its currently 88.9p/lt here.

diesel is sub £1 a litre now as well.

i havent found any info on opec actually slowing down the release of oil barrels to inflate the price. But then i got a gut feeling even if they did it wouldnt effect the price at the minute.
the economy is now in the hands of the consumer.

Re: Petrol (unleaded) now sub £1

I went out for a drive last night and what cost me £25-£30 a few months ago now cost only £20-£25 so a big saving on long runs. price depends on how my car is diven.
    Did 150 miles on £21 at 87.9 a litre 28+ mpg
Well happy with owning my 1.4 gtturbo, got a new insurence policy.

    fully comp. £100 excess.

    Breakdown home and abroad.

Insured abroad for 80 days. dont have to give notice unless for more tha 31 days

    Agreed value.

am 26 and have access to other other cars.
put my mam on and it made it way cheaper

It's getting quite bad now, I even brought a cheap car that does half decent mpg recently just because it was getting so expensive to keep the toys on the road everyday. It's a sad state of affairs. Id be all for a riot over fuel prices, prices have crept up alot in the last 2 years

Bet you wish it was now though eh

Unbelievable price increase in such a short space of time.

We'll be lucky to see sub £1.20 p/l again, let alone sub £1...

98 is anywhere between A$1.45-1.65 (90p-110p) per litre. Yes cheaper than UK but the margin has narrowed hugely. Mainly down to the strong Aussie dollar.

Car and car parts are massively cheaper in UK though.

Lack of fuel is not the problem, but the amount we use and the fact most of us need for everyday normality is the big problem.
