I have seen that car, Grant (think that was his name) is obsessed with everything on that car. Still remember him coming into a workshop with a complete set of bulbs to replace all the old ones, not that the others weren't working its because they weren't new

    right here ya go peeps

Hey folks.. I've not been around much and had a few PM's asking for pics of my 5.. I have pics scattered around here and there but not easy to find for some peeps..(I had trouble finding them myself) so heres a bunch of them and they should be easier to find for anyone interested with the new heading ^ sorry if you've seen a few of these before a while ago.. just close one eye and pretend you didnt see it again...lol the engine pics at the end are the latest pics with the alloy rad fitted.. u might need to click on the pics to see full size..

Almost everythings been replaced with new parts.. or just thrown away..lol.. (i have some nice new carbon and black leather seats but not fitted still) will try and get to use the car a bit more this year.. been garaged most of last year...occational weekend use.

Re: one of the best R5 GTT project threads ever!

Had a bit of a play around as the weather was so good yesterday... I have a spare set of wheels... the original speedlines so had a go at painting them... this was just a test to see how they would look..

    Heres a before and after...

This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 754 x 653.

    after...

This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 820 x 615.

This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 1024 x 768.

    Then did a test fit...

This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 1024 x 768.

This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 1024 x 768.

I'm staying with the 15's .. I think they suit the car better...

This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 1024 x 768.

also...doing a back to back comparison.. the car feels like jelly on a plate compared to the 15s.. it feels a lot more planted and I could feel myself needing to be carefull when corning.. so the 15s have there job back.

I have another idea... and will see if it works out.. or not

He has clearly spent a lot of time getting and keeping the car to a high standard and for this all credit to him.

But OE is the way to go for me too.....

Agreed, the interior looks like it was mint before he toughed it, now it looks horrific.

Hey, good to see Grant still got it!

I remember when he joined years back.

Looks very tidy. By the sounds of things, he's keep all the o.e. parts, so can easy put the interior back to standard if needs be.
