jesus was just gonna ask this , think am gonna take mine off, surely its only worth having if you have a heat shield with the sensor located in the correct place, my sensor is just dangling lol

also my next door neighbour who used to own gt turbos said his car wouldnt start if it had been started 10 mins prior.. apprently this was due to him getting rid of the percolationg fan.

There's 2 sensors. One at the base of the carb and one on the turbo heatshield

ahh, i dont have a turbo heatsheild so that must be the one thats hanging freely.. might have to fabricate a new heatsheild to re mount the sensor

Re: percolating fan.. yay or ney??

i dont run with one due to the fact it blows air onto the carb and if you have a tiny fuel leak it could blow fuel onto the hot engine, DISASTER!!!!mine set on fire and melted my wiring.

The fuel would have to be gushing all over to make it catch fire With the fuse mod one to the wiring as per the recall there is no hazard.

Whats the point in binning it if it makes it easier to start?

well i had heard, how true or not i don't know, that it can run down the battery...probabily boll@*ks
I just prefer them off as it looks a bit neater under the bay, less cluter
