A question for all you 1/4 mile kings

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

As the title says, whats the favourite clutch used in your cars? I currently have an AP paddle which hasnt really lasted. I know they are not meant to last that long, but my car has been to the pod twice and is now slipping, put it this way it aint had that much of a beating! any advice would be great thanks

ceremetalic padle works well enough, they don't often slip unless you give them reason to. if you want something that'll last longer and not eat the flywheel and cover then it'll be something multiplate, not ceremetalic and expensive.

volvo cover and the cheapest paddle centre plate u can buy should be good enough for half decent power, and seem to last a good while in fact the fly and cover are the first to wear i have never had any clutch slip at all even with 301lbs torque, and a couple of hosses...hope this helps...

Im currently using a ceramatalic jobbie, using a EBC cover plate the one that comes with the Volvo kit. Are there other cover plates available which are better?
Mileage wise the car gets used at weekends if that!

Make sure you haven't got any leaks on to the clutch,

I wrecked a clutch because i had a little leak go in through the TDC hole in the gearbox.

No leaks as far as I know tommy, but will check anyway. How did you get on at the pod saturday night?

    Managed a 13.2@103.9

I was wiping my little leak after every run so the clutch would stay fresh he he.

There's two more RWYBs left this year,I think i may well be taking Robs black phase 1 up there.

104 is 13 second 1/4 speed, you just need to hook it up better.
