    Alternator not charging

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

    Right.....

My alternator is not charging my battery, i removed the alternator and took it back to the motor factors where i brought it (one month ago) thinking it must be faulty.

They have since put it on the test bed and said its working fine.

Therefore i have a problem somewhere inbetween the alternator and battery.

If anyone has any ideas, or if there are any common places that i could start by checking, i would be very grateful,

    cheers all

Check the 2 wires that plug in at the top of the alternator. The yellow wire in particular is known for coming loose/going high resistance, and thus reducing/stopping altogether charge going to the battery.
