    Removing firewall in engine bay

Hi was just wondering if anyone has any pics of their cars with the firewall removed in the engine bay and any tips on easier way to remove it?

Or is it a case of just attacking it with the angle grinder?

Here's one of my old engine bay

I personally wouldn't do it again, i'd rather mod the wall if its in the way then cut it out.

Here's one when the engine was half taken apart, might be able to see it better.

Only way to get it out is to cut it with an airsaw/grinder.

Thanks Mark, is there a particular reason you wouldn't do it again? Mine is kind of redundant as I plan on using clips to hold the bonnet on so no catch required, move battery inside the car plus I got some big holes where the battery tray rotted away so just thought about removing whole lot.

That is one mahoosive intercooler by the way!

Its a fire wall so protects from an engine fire, also engine fumes can make there way through the heater fan.

As i say i would rather modify the wall if you have clearence problems.

Yeah its abit big, its on my red 5 now as that blue car got sold with a standand engine fitted about 2yrs ago now.

Fair enough something to give a little more consideration then before running rampant with the grinder, thanks for the info
