    Fitting new locks to clio

had a bit of a look at this last weekend. The lock goes into the door but do i need to glue it in or something? Should there be a seal around the lock?

You know im not very hands on but i want to give it a go myself.

so the door lock fits in the hole in the door. It will just fall out though as theres nothing to attach it to the door so to speak. it doesn clip in its just like a barrel.

Corrrr im hard work aint I.

    Whos got a mk1 clio?

Re: Fitting new locks to clio

not actually played with a clio but most door locks I've removed/fitted tend to have a rubber seal that goes on the outside between the door skin and barrel and it is then held in place by a clip on the inside of the door, similar to a C clip but bigger so can get it in and out easier.

it's like that on a 5 so imagine it will be the same on a mk1 clio

    hope that helps
