At work 2day we had a clio 172 come in for no headlights but when i opened the bonnet i was met with this



I mean it must be some sort of k-tec group B mod of something ive never seen a DIY front strut brace b4 ive just gotta get me one of these made up what about a group buy or something and this was the top engine mount that was perished/split wedged with a note pad:

we all couldnt belive it when i opened the bonnet the homemade strut brace is attached to the top of some coilovers using the old standard suspension tops and you know these clio bonnet catch recalls renault are doing he has made his own safety catch using valcro along the length of bonnet and slam panel you mite be able to see it on the picture im sure valcro will stop the bonnet from coming up if the catch fails haha

and yes they are bungee cords in the middle to stop it rubbing on the top of the engine !!!

I think you'll find you can solve the headlight problem by just re lighting the candles.
