    Battery choice?

    Hey ya'll,
As my GT Turbo may be out of action for a while (& with the cold months already here) i wanna change my battery when all is well but is there any better than the other, or any specific one to get or is it just a GSF jobbie??

    Re: Battery choice?

they take an 063 as standard, but an 065 will fit with some very slight bending of the battery tray, and give you more CCA for starting

it's only a low compression 1.4L engine, it doesn't need much of a battery to start it.

We were getting rid of 063 batteries for around £25 I think they were. Not like halfords which want £70 or whatever they keep upping them to

I use a 075 (60ah and 600cca) but i need it because it starts on LPG

You just need to bend the tray flat on one side

I didn't even bend the tray flat I just sit mine in and and use the clamp to clamp it in.
