    torsion bar

    can anyone give me a brief discription on how to get the rear torsion bar out, i am breaking my car so just need to get it of but aint got a clue what the haynes is going on about lol

    Remove the caps on the end of the trailing arms, use a slide hammer and screw into the torsion bar and pull them out, thats the way i do it.

    do you mean rear beam?

    if so, 18mm nuts under the back seat area under the car, may be stubborn.

    make sure you disconnect load valve, brake pipes and handbrake cables before you undo the fixings!!

    may also pay to get a mate in the car on the other end of those bolts,the brackets are not always up to doing what they are designed to an can just cut in to the rear bench,just makes then awkward to undo on your own otherwise.
