All cars are different matey so one setup may not work well on your setup, if I was you invest in a decent wideband kit - Innovate, AEM, Zeitronix. Make sure it is a wideband setup and not some ****e narrowband crap.

Its all custom really to the car and set up. If I was you get it on a rollers and then play with the jets to make sure its not getting rich or lean and that the air/fuel ratio is good otherwise there could be trouble!

Keep the main & a/c jets standard. Modify the enrichment circuit fuelling instead.

at work i have a gas analyser for doing mot can i use any data from this to monitor air/fuel

like hc levels or lambda readings?

    this is interesting

    Lambda

Most practical AFR devices actually measure the amount of residual oxygen (for lean mixes) or unburnt hydrocarbons (for rich mixtures) in the exhaust gas. Lambda (λ) is the measure of how far from stoichiometry that mixture is. Lambda of 1.0 is at stoichiometry, rich mixtures are less than 1.0, and lean mixtures are greater than 1.0.

14.1-1 is the stoichiometric afr for petrol

The ones you use at your work will prob allow you to set the idle mixture up but thats about it, to check your fueling all the way through the rev range you need to drive it or put it on the rollers and use an AFR kit.

I use mine on the road, fit my kit to the car and then take it for a drive and see what the fuelings like.

14.1-1 is what you want on idle, around 12.1-1 is what your aiming for on boost.

    yeah i think your right

was trying to think of jacking up front of the vehicle and leting wheels spi n but with no weight on the wheels the results will not be accurate

plus could be a little dangerous

Boost jet? That will be the secondary enrichment jet

As people mentined before you can't say weather you'll need to use standard jets or slightly larger, only way to find out is check what your fueling is like now and go from there. Every engine is diferent so some may need more mods then others

It may be a few hours of playing about but worth it.

They use to sell the Inovate LC-1 kit but don't know if its still there or not.

I've got the LM-1 kit, easy enough to use.

No but i do set peoples cars up.

If someone wanted it checked or as you say fancied doing it yourself i can stick the kit on your car for you and check it to make sure its fueling right while you mod it, i made a clamp so i can fit the lamda prob in most tailpipes if you don't have a bung in the downpipe

Lol! Yeah i could make a mint.

Unfortunatle not, i keep it with me all the time. Quite a few members have this kit, maybe someone near you has one you could borrow. I got mine off ebay for a resonable price so not too hard to get hold of.

Re: jet (not off gladiators lol)

While were on the subject of afrs, wideband kit etc I think mine is playing up, It used to work well and give real stable readings but now they are all over the place at wot. I thought it could be the sensor so I got another from grahame goode but to no avail, its still all over the place. It pissed me off at the rtoc pod day because I knew in my head I had fuel for another 3-4psi but could not see it on the lm-1, I could not risk going bang because I had a 250 mile drive the next day plus I did not want to look like a plonker crossing the line with a blown h.g.

Sorry for the hijack but there is no point starting another thread on something so similar
