ok soon im going to start some more stuff on this site after speaking to ian we have decided to use a ebay style classifieds, this will be for everyone even just registered users, ill test this first also ill be doing a albumpictures like the xenforo format, ive previously tested both these and they worked really well but havent had time to incorp yet so abit of testing to do then youll see them, ill then drop the old classified forum

Mick, Just a thought, and probably not possible, but is there a way so fully paid up members get to see any new ads first. Then say a couple of days later view-able by anyone ?.

So, we may as well open RTOC classifieds up to everyone to try and make it the number one place to sell and buy your 5GTT and RTOC parts.

ok currently having problems with php code and other stuff which im getting sorted after ill test the addons and add all being well
ok got loads done so the plan is too close the site temp to incorp a few new things, in order to do this ill need to move some tabs as ill need to free space up, so ill be moving arcade and dialogys to the tech apps which ill be renaming too, also ill be adding some new modified php files which you wont notice at all, then ill be adding the new classifieds addon with is identical to ebay with a wanted section, also making it easier to login in using ya user or email, also adding a gallery for albums ill be doing all this next week so site will be closed for 2 hours max ill let ya know 24 hours before though

ok did a few bits today as its been raining here
1. encorped vb navbar to shop for universal look (thanx dave for coding)
2. made the old tab (tech apps) renamed to Utils
3. in utils tab added blogs, and arcade as we need space on navbar for upcoming things
4. dropped arcade/blogs off navbar
5. if you prefer u can now login with username or email
6. added daves updated addon
7. added smilies to work on whats new tab
im still testing other things on dev
1.gallery
2.classifieds like ebay
3.CHATBOX so no need to post if you dont want too bit like instant messenger
these look good but will take a while to setup as i need to change permissions
this has took long enough to do so please bear in mind a thanks or a like its always appreciated

Mick how do we log into club shop now to see discounts?
as you always did email address and password
vb has always been username but now you can use either for forum but not shop
shop is email only matt
I guess that as the shop now looks the same as the forum it's less obvious that a member still has to log into the shop separately to see the discounts. And then only after they have created a shop account with email address matching the forum.
It might help to change this welcome page line:
"Here you will find a range of official RTOC merchandise and service parts. Sign up as an RTOC Member and you will benefit from a generous members discount on all your purchases. PayPal payment accepted."
To something like:
Here you will find a range of official RTOC merchandise and service parts.
To benefit from a generous members discount on all your purchases, join the RTOC forum as a member, then create an account in the shop with the email address matching your forum email address. Log into the shop with that email address and your shop password.
Paypal payment accepted.
Possibly also make the "Welcome to the RTOC Online Shop" smaller, centralised, and with less wasted space above an below it.
Just doing Chatbox this is to speak without posting use without swearing etc or ill ban ya
it will be on the forum tab at top
all done by pressing forum tab the chatbox will display, i can get it to appear all over the place but thought just here will be fine, ill be incorporating gallery soon too
still need some testing on classifieds before i try it
dont know if anyone noticed there was a issue with quoting and the space not working, this is a google chrome issue but ive now fixed it in vb

Mick how does the chat box work? I see a load messages but who are they too?
chatbox works purely as a way of talking without posting, ie if you wanted to ask me something you can but anyone can whos a members too its sometimes easier to just say hi there or whatever, feel free to use it buddy its there for everyone
