C1J Rebuild
How hard is it to strip down and rebuild a c1j engine and has any body got any advice or diagrams before I start??

Pretty easy as engines go. Grab a Haynes, there's loads of pictures in there.

Re: C1J Rebuild
The dizzy timing and cam timing are sometimes a little difficult to get your head round if it's the first time you have done it. A little easier if it's all staying o.e. If your putting a hot cam in and an adjustable cam pully you will want to read the camshaft article in the articles section of the site. Some really good info and guides on how to do it.
Up until a few years ago i had never had a bash at building any engine and the Haynes and this site was pretty much all i needed.
If you have built engines before then the c1j is pretty simple in mechanical terms and should be a breeze.
What are you building the engine for? o.e power or more?

Just going to keep it oe so hope this makes it all abit simple . Never built an engine before but I'm sure it's worth having a go. Think I have all the new parts I need.
