Hi chaps,
Bit of a strange one... The rear part of my drivers seat has collapsed one side, has anyone had this and repaired it?
Thanks in advance

Check over the footwells for a small torx bolt. These usually fall out the seat and make them rock.
Flip the seat up and check for play and you will probably find its missing.

Yep they are black. Quite short bolts with a shoulder for the seat to sit on. Easy to replace and you won't need to remove the seat.
Nice easy fix, a bit of thread lock wouldn't go a miss if you have any to prevent it popping out again.
Yeah, I'll take them all out and lock title them up. Thanks for the advice.
Ill update to,tomorrow when i tackle it.
i reckon you've snapped the rear frame on one side.....
are you 15 stone + ???
Lol how are you davo? Take some pictures of what you find mate my drivers seat is wobberly
Yeah I'm all good mate, for some reason it won't let me upload pics on here. Ill take some pics of what I find pal & email em to ya see if u can load em up for me, if that alright?
I've bought a gas welder, so think I could be a busy bee tomorrow
Yea send them over
Morning all, the movement is due to the frame being snapped (10points to sparkle)
It's had the biggest bodge repair I've ever seen, so I'm now going to remove the bird **** welding & seam weld it properly.
I'm no welder, but I was horrified seeing the attempt made. So after work tomorrow it will be prepped, then welded properly.
Just another job to add to the list before the fete
Unlucky on the fact its snapped mate. But at least your in a position to reweld it all
I've asked a lad I know if he has a MIG welder, but if he hasn't, I'm going to use oxy acetylene.
I braize copper pipe work all the time at work, so can't see it being harder than that. I'm glad it's snapped now and not in the summer. So I'm lucky in that respect I guess.
Joys of owning a renault 5!
