    Re: french car show 2009

    Hi chaps

THERE IS AN RTOC STAND THIS YEAR

we have spent a whole heap re-organising the event, was let down by a few people last year and the gale force weather totally screwed the trade area up.

The major changes this year are

1 - better track deals (contact me for more info as its cheaper for RTOC only)
2 - new RALLY sprint and RALLY stage next to clubs
3 - entire NEW layout with all sections together rather than split over different parts of the site. All sections together with clubs in middle.
4 - Trade area in outer paddock next to clubs
5 - Live arena next to clubs
    6 - Top 25 next to clubs
7 - Welcome centre free to enter this year with freebies etc
    8 - F1 pit stop challenge - free
9 - European clubs attending including France 5gt club.

I could spend all day explaining track but to be brief, track costs 14k+vat to hire plus medics plus book a track sign on so total is about £19k inc vat. We sell 6 hours at £15.00 per slot we make £9990 which is almost a 10k loss. If we sell it for £20 a slot and sell 100% we still lose £7-8k. So essentially it is not expensive but its the manner in which people are buying sessions it appears that way. If we were to sell 100 open pit sessions at £250 like book a track we would make £25k so I hope that explains things. (Chris Millar can confirm my pricing above as he looked at hiring the Rock).

If you have any questions let me know by dropping me a PM or email mark@frenchcarshow.co.uk

PS camping is at Wicktead park again. We have exclusively hired the Hexagon Resturant/Bar for FCS and have a prime spot in the park. Wickstead have put their prices up a tad and its £15 a night for up to x4 people one car/tent. We have booked Friday/Saturday and Sunday nights for those who want to make it a weekend (and some are, especially the Frenchies).

    Shop at http://www.frenchcarshow.co.uk/shop

Have a look at the site and you will see the additions this year also http://www.frenchcarshow.co.uk

I should be able to show you a map showing the improvements this year soon.

    Thanks
    Mark

    Re: french car show 2009

We have had a few bookings so far through http://www.frenchcarshow.co.uk/shop

Latest news is we have a pile of Group B Rally Cars worth about £500k coming and hopefully we will get them on track again !

Also details to be announced but we have an amazing stand of several demo cars coming and it will involve taking people out in Turbos (you may not be impressed as you have them) and being taken out on track for free.

We also have some serious R26-R action planned.

    Hi all

We have released the official program of events. You will get this on A5 on glossy paper so you will be able to navigate your way around and know what's on when so you maximise your day. Your exact club location i.e. stand number will be released nearer the time as it depends on how many cars book in.

    Any question please ask.

    Book online at http://www.frenchcarshow.co.uk/shop

    Not all attractions are listed.

you need to select CLUB which is RTOC, then if you want to park with your club you select one car pass which is FREE.

We run this system so we know how much room to give your club.

We have over 1500 club cars in the area so we need to have some managment in place.

    Hope that helps.
