I assume there are about the same number again from on here running other cars.

    Lovely Jawb

    Now what's a Fez?

Well I've had better days, my intention was to be working today, but Fluff' wouldn't start this morning

Had a quick poke around and found that my alarm was imobilising the car.

Anyway - long story short - ripped the alarm out and put everything is back together. Thanks to Marky B and a kind offer From Romil who offered to lend a hand, possibly his, but I'm not sure with him LOL.

Anyway - Fluff is ready, as I hope all the RTOC members are also, hope the weather holds off. Have a good un tonight if you're travelling from afar, have a few, but not too many, and well see you in the mornin.

    Stotty

    Re: Snetterton 300

Just like to say what a fab day (with issues!)

A good turn out and great to see the familiar faces again and to get my 2nd blessing of the year off Jesus.

The track was amazingly tricky, being a virtual ice ring early on, and to be fair it was almost inevitable thet there where going to be a number of off's during the day. The 1st, by yours truely, on the 2nd corner.

    Of the 1st sighting lap

But as the day went on - I came off more, I can only put it down to megger power, **** tyres, slippy track and a northern cock that can't drive

But the others managed to hold it together well and there was some good action out there. I was lucky enough to get out with Big Dan in scraps, which to be honest, just sitting in Scraps is an event all of it's own. I was also treated to a good number of laps with Romil, who's car has come along very nicely since the new engine went in - it was flying - Thanks Romil.

Fluffy was going like a good one with traction being the main problem, bit down the straights we where flying, seeing some pretty good stuff off.

TNT Ross even made an appearance - which was nice, great to see him in Red again who has suffered gearbox issues which will need a looking at at some point.

Car Crash had issues with his power stearing pump which ended his day, but a bit of good thinking on his behalf kept the track clear of power steering fluid. Good work fella. He's still stood at Snetterton as we speak waiting to be recovered as we speak.

Fluffy suffered what can only be described as a completely snapped off turbo elbow - sorry Dave Reed, Fluffy has eaten your home made elbow, it lasted a while, but time for new things. I managed to cut a couple of Monster cans up and tied those around the gappeing gash and tie up the down pipe to get me home, but that was the end of racing for me and Fluff.

    A great day!

    Re: Snetterton 300

Well what a great weekend up until 12pm Sunday

Track was great and the car was going strong until the power steering pump failed.
The snetterton recovery team were fantastic in getting my car loaded up carefully without any damage so thanks for that.
Getting home was a issue due to lack of recovery on my behalf and AA wanted close to £500.
I really was sh1t out of luck and no internet made sourcing anything near impossible.

Up steps snetterton staff and sells me their recovery bar amongst a ton of other favours so thanks guys

Then dogsh1t Dave jumps in his van and starts his 3 hour trip and arrives in the pitch black and pulls me home on what an only be described as the most stupid and dangerous thing we've done in a while. We were taunted by police and pretty much every motorist but we made it 100 miles and the bar snapped.
Now 30 miles from home and as cold as hell from no heating I fired up the clio and risked the engine and a fire from fluids all over the manifold and limped home in a cloud of smoke.

Thanks to everyone who helped and sorry to those I was blunt with.
All home and safe now and in daves debt for some time after his 6 hour round trip to save me.

    When's the next one Andy?

    Re: Snetterton 300

Ive stripped the car and the pump is shot to bits, driving it the last 30 miles was risky and the play in the pulley in out and side to side is shocking, it couldnt have lasted much longer and definatly wouldnt have got me home so the pogo stick recovery saved my engine.
