    2004 (54) Petrol Blue Clio 182

Here we have a Petrol Blue Renault Clio 182, apparently only 1 of 29-33 ordered via Renault UK. Not one for giving the hard sell but the colour really has to be seen for real to truly appreciate it, especially in the current sunny weather we're experiencing right now. People that know me in the club know i like my Clios and know i've owned some really clean ones that have no expensed spared on them.

Taxed till the end of October this year and sure it's MOT'd till November but i need to dig the paperwork out the folder. Plenty of history with the main cambelt invoice to hand too. It's on 706** K with the belts done approx 4k ago with an oil and filter change at the same time.

I bought it in April, all the modifications and work were carried out within 2 months of my purchase. No expense spared with invoices totalling in excess of 2k

So, exterior wise it's all standard expect for the Skoda splitter. It's the 'Full Fat' model which means it has the Cup suspension and Cup spoiler packs fitted. The beauty is with the modifications all done in and around the car but sill retaining the 'OE' look.

SPAX FULL coilover setup, and by FULL i mean rear coilovers not just rear dampers and lowering springs. This means fully adjustable ride height front and rear and full adjustment on the damper stiffness too. The setup alone retails at approx £900.

So, other modifications. Brand new OE rear discs and front discs, Ferodo DS25000 front pads. Front pads squeek when they're warm as i believe the shims were taken out. Brilliant pads on fast road and track as proved at Sangliers 2013 and Blyton Park ND 2013 last weekend. K Tec braided hoses fitted with full brake fluid flush.

K Tec Racings own induction kit, K Tec Racing solid engine mounts, polybushed gearbox mount, K Tec Racing solid suspension top mounts.

Scorpion stainless steel exhaust with decat

All tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 3 with plenty of tread left

Interior is completely standard, i also purchased genuine RenaultSport mats from Renault at a cost of £50 to complement the interior. New Bosch aero wipers, new rear wiper, new rear number plate light. 3/4 front number plate.

Mechanically it's wanted for nothing, it's a sound car. Bodywork as it is it's not bad, the odd scratch here and there so it would benefit from a full machine polish. The windscreen has 2-3 stone chips in it. Matt from Codered has check things over on it too

So, I'm asking £3500 and based in Southend, Essex
A decent price for a Clio that has pretty much everything done to it, and done tastefully in my opinion

Funny you should say that as it had the 2 bucket wash tonight with Zymol

If it seals the deal then the buckets can go with the car

I'll fully vouch for this car! Done a whole weekend of driving with Rich and there are no nasty noises or anything.. It's a really nice ride, not to stiff just right imo engine pulls very well also.

GLWS mate, not that your going to need it.

Looking forward to the next clio........................................turbo purchase

Changed a couple of bits like mint rear seats, decent gearknob insert to sort the interior. Also purchased new rear discs with bearings pressed in from Renault (with receipt) will hopefully have them fitted within a week.

To be honest i haven't really pushed for the sell or advertised it other than here and Cliosport. While it's been quiet i thought i'd do some bits on it, i've also sorted some polyflex rubbers to sort the rubbish exhaust hangers.... Small jobs but makes a difference

Yep I was in Billericay Topcat, we're building a house there. I've washed it today and been out to take some half decent photos which I'll post up later once I've taken them off the camera. Totally biased but you really have to see it for real when its sunny, an amazing colour its just a shame the fleck doesn't come out so well in the pics

Ah thought it might have been u- not seen another one that colour round here. It looked pretty gleaming when I drove past you. I was by the queens park tyre company on the roundabout.

Your photos don't do the paint justice at all.

It hadn't been washed for weeks till earlier. I was heading to the shop just after the Queens Park roundabout. Im working on a new build house in Belle Vue avenue, appreciate the comments Topcat

I know 182 prices has fallen but IMO the premium colours like Liquid Yellow, Racing Blue and Petrol Blue should hold their value. Coupled with service history, cambelt and dephaser and decent modifications my Clio is worth almost every penny what im asking

Ill have to pop over in the 5 when it's back from jons.

You shouldn't have a problem getting your asking price fella. I reckon the first to see it would snap your hand off.

Stunning looking car - you mention the front pads squeek when warm, i've got exactly the same thing happening on my MR2 turbo which has had new discs and pads on the front in the last 250 miles - could this be the same thing?
when cold it doesnt squeek and when i press the brake pedal it stops the squeek, assuming this isnt a problem really?

Did you put copper grease on the backs of the pads?

Mine squeek as the metal shims have been taken out the calipers, the Ferodo pads when new are ever so slightly too thick so instead of removing material off the pads they take out the thin metal shims instead. It doesn't bother me but can understand for an everyday car it could get to some people.

Clio was detailed the weekend, snow foamed, washed, clayed, machine polished, waxed. Wheels, wheelarches and coilovers all cleaned too.

    £3400

Tax is due the end of this month but i'll put 6 months on. MOT is due about 1st or 2nd week of November so i'll take it to Matt at Codered to put it through an MOT in the next week or 2 so it will have another 12 months on it.

I have another car in the frame so ideally need this gone hence the price drop
