Re: Phill's Surrey meet 1st December

my journey home from work is around 11 miles normally about half hour drive and last night it took me exactly 8 hours to get home

roads were very bad last night, sheets of ice everywhere m25 was closed near me causing terrible grid locked traffic and i think i must have passed atleast 60+ cars left on the side of the road, this morning the roads seem fine just the slushy water s**t so if the snow holds off the roads will be fine but i am not forcing anyone to go as i can understand what your travel may be like

on that note is anyone still up for going tonight or do you guys want to avoid it let me know

and if i do not see anyone tonight may i wish you and your familys a very merry christmas and a happy new year

i would of mate but i had quite a few bits in the car i needed to take home and they were to big to carry

it's all cleared up around here

if the snow holds off and it's still on i'll still pop down my only concern is the ramp in to the car park don't won't to get half way up it then slid all the way back in to the road

i know what you mean ray as over the years the ramp can get quite hard to get up i will try and find out if its clear or if its still bad

as you can imagine working in a dealership today is very quiet so out of boardness i have done this to see if it is worth arranging tonight or not

put your name under what column you will be in

had a nightmare at work yesterday, i'm a technician for ryder trucks, got in to work in the afternoon ( 1: 30-10:00pm) to find water had come in through the roof and blown all the electrics so no lights, heaters or compressor.they had got in a generator with some floodlights and 2 small heaters.but you try taking a wheel of a truck that's torqued to 700nm and rusted with a scaffold pole

One of the parents works for the Met office and our area is forcast another 5cm of snow, so I am on boarding duty and staff that live off site are being sent home early, so I can't come out and play tonight.

that is a shame mate but i have a feeling it would be more of a safer option if i was to cancel the meet tonight just for driving conditions and trying to get in the car park itself its not to bad for me as i can walk it but if the m25 ends up anything like yesterday i dont think any of you guys even will make it to the meet

what is everyones veiws cancel or not cancel

yes mate make sure you can ,ake it on the 8th if its not snowing lighting will be good if you want to bring them and if you do have any spare tarmac we could fill the hole again as its staring to crep back
