Hello from Central Scotland
New poster! (less than 10 posts)
Hello. I've just bought a 1986 Ph1. It was THE car to have when I had just passed my test but only "loadsa-money" characters had them back then. And it's taken me 28yrs to afford one.
Now I need to relearn how an engine works after being spoiled by cars with "no user serviceable engine parts" over the years.
It's been rebuilt and a bit of a challenge to set-up properly but luckily there are a few places around to do some rolling-road work if needed.
Cheers!

Red. Finally got it out today after some excellent help with carb from guys on the forum and 12months road tax!
I was beginning to doubt my intentions until about 10mins of turbo whooshing noises and boosting had me completely hooked.
Bring on some decent weather.

Still waiting for a break in the weather to take pics.
Sunroof leaks right now so it's under cover.
Seems like there's quite a few owners around these parts?
I'm in Larbert.

Re: Hello from Central Scotland
I got it going again today and took it into a local rolling road to do the carb setup. Forgot the pics!
Hope to see some of you out on the road once it's done. And... I'll get those pics posted.
I noticed a lot of people seemed quite interested to see it on the road, probably looks quite weird amongst modern cars.

Re: Hello from Central Scotland
Just waiting on a new fuel filter (to try to cure the hesitation apparently), side decals will be here end of week then the photo shoot will commence.
Anyone near Stirling know about Fairdeal Autos in Plean? They've got a Turbo (1, 2, Maxi, I dunno?) race car sitting at the garage. If they can't fix my carb I'd be surprised.

Re: Hello from Central Scotland
Just noticed this post. I've got a white Ph2 also - it's slowly turning into a rally car when time/funds allow.
Give us a shout for a meet.
