hi folks,

just wanted to say hi, i am a new member but long time Renault turbo fan, mainly the 5 turbo , i have owned several gt turbos over the years from the age of 19. i absolutely love these little cars so much so this began the start of a career with Renault as a technician, fast forward a few years i even moved over to Australia to work on the things there as Renault Master Tech. 5 years later i moved back to the uk after having kids. i always said if i moved back to the uk i would try my best to get a 5 and spend the time stripping it out and doing a nut and bolt restoration to it. i was lucky enough to source a 5 turbo pretty quick. i was after something as original as i could find and i was fortunate to find one that had been of the road for 18 years with a seized turbo. sorry if the pictures are all over the place, like i said new to this :D

Anyway........

nearly 2 years into the rebuild now i am almost finished. just the paint to be done. here is some of the progress from then till now.

Looking great Jonny and welcome to the club!! Hopefully you have found the information stored all very useful.
