Once this is done, should we advertise the refreshed details on the FB sites? We want people to say to themselves, 'it's worth me joining the club because I'll get my membership back when I buy those parts for my rebuild in a few weeks'.

I'm wary that people will just ring up and say they are members however and that suppliers will roll-over. What have we got these suppliers asking for in terms of proof of membership before they give up the discount?

The other way to do it is advertise the list externally but replace the supplier names with descriptions of what each company does. So scroungers don't know which particular companies are offering discounts unless they join here and find out.

Trev, It would be good publicity for the club to advertise our discount schemes in some way but I'm not sure how. Most of our contacts either have a discount code, or offer the discount over the telephone however as you say, I'm not sure how well this keeps this discount within the club

I can pick a selection say 5 or so as an example as to what the club has to offer. I shan't put any retailers but just an example of their services and the discounts they have to offer?

Maybe feed FB five disguised examples every month or so? If you prepare the text, I think Blunty is happy to post it up?

Little update for today, another confirmed contact and I've sent of another couple emails so hopefully I can throw a few more up in the coming weeks.

Do ktec offer any discount? Last time I went on their site it didn't have the 5 GTT anymore, :cry: I hope though they can still get parts and I know there are a few other renault members here who do still get parts.

Thanks for your email Ben, but I am sorry to tell you that we do not plan to do any advertising online at this time.
However, your members are more than welcome to get together as a group buy to access discounts that we have.
There are not discounts available on all items, so maybe if there is an interest in particular products that we sell we will be more than happy to give some group numbers/prices.
