The Retro Show is a classic car and bike show with a difference: Unlike most shows where you park up in a field and sip tea, this is an action-packed day where you can take part in the racing and show & shine whatever type of retro machinery you have.
Retro Show is open to all retro vehicles including cars, bikes, scooters and lorries from the 1950’s through the 1980’s to 1995. Featuring: RWYB, Drag Demos, Show & Shine,Traders, Auto Jumble, Club Stands, Weekend Camping, Vehicles 4 Sale Paddock,Evening Entertainment, Fun Fair Rides and more.

RWYB day on the saturday for those that may want to make a full weekend of it and camping on saturday night for a bit of banter and crack

Im officially making this a 100% event now, ill speak to ian later on about organising the event again and getting the tickets in the club shop in december/january at greatly discounted prices for the paid members of the club

Updating this thread as of 05.11.2017:

Don't forget to request your stand passes when ordering. These will be sent out separately when pod send them to us.

Pricing as follows:-
Club members £5 Sunday only and £10 for the full weekend.

Non members £12.20 Sunday and £18.60 for the full weekend. These prices are discounted until the end of January.

Santa Pod also charge an extra £4 on their direct ticket (booking fee and p&p) so you get a better discount still with the club for the non members tickets.

From 1st February 2018 to 1st June 2018 tickets will be as follows:-

Members £10 Sunday and £16 weekend. Non members £15 for the Sunday and £23 for the Weekend.

From 2nd June till 12th June tickets will be approx £4 more than the above as Santa Pod increase prices again.

So get tickets before end of January to get the best discount!! Would be a great Xmas gift!!

Rules : Last year was extremely popular and some members unfortunately missed out so:-
1 ticket per member (Sunday)
1 ticket per member (Weekend)
Up to 3 non member tickets with any order.


Also 1 spouse ticket per member by request only. Please ask on the website so permissions can be set when your ordering.

This year we couldn't have been more noticeable! Big yellow flag, big yellow banner, barbecue and gazeebo, and right on the approach road!!😁 quite a few camped. Weather was roasting too!

Maybe somehow joining in with their camping might work?

Paying them for a few RTOC people and so camping as part of the Triumph group.

we only have 30 weekend and 10 sunday total this year once they are gone there gone, we can get others if need be but at a different cost

ONLY 1 standpass per member but if your also buying a non member ticket and are bringing a Renault and require a standpass please ask

standpass are sent out by pod later in 2018 youll get them once we have them in hand

I phoned Pod just now and they told me Triumphfest are NOT camping on the Friday.

Perhaps one of you chaps can find out more with TSSC as to if they did camp this year, 2017, and plan to be doing, or not doing, in 2018.

I ask on behalf of the Renault Turbo Owners Club, who were the next stand to your at this years 2017 Retro Show. I've bought our 2018 Retro show weekend tickets from Santa Pod and some of the RTOC members want to camp on Friday as well as Saturday. Pod tell me they there is no Friday camping these days but some RTOC people on Facebook think the TSSC did camp this year and will be camping next year.

If that is the case and TSCC have a special arrangement with pod for Friday camping, maybe RTOC could buy some tickets from TSSC, those members joining TSSC as members if required, so as to camp on the Friday.

Hi Ian, we normally do but we haven't announced exactly where we are going this year as we are waiting for all of the venues to announce the confirmed dates. We have to ensure it doesn't clash with Le Mans Classic from our resources perspective ... thanks for your enquiry we will let you know.

I was going to suggest a convoy to Le mans classic next year.

I am trying to buy 2 members tickets for the whole weekend and three non members. The shop isn't letting me do this. The two members tickets are for me and the other half.

you need a spouse ticket which me or ian s can turn on or simply make another £10 payment to shop@rtoc.org and pm ian s to send you the additional ticket spouse is only allowed if spouse are going

I've the Spouse tickets showing in stock.

There's the ticket to get into Santa Pod all weekend and the parking pass to get into the club parking are on the Sunday. On Saturday you would park in the camping area with RTOC which was brightly signed.

All the purchased tickets are now in the post.

I have 7 weekends left, for members, non-members, spouses.

Response so far has been excellent with 23 sales.

About 16 car passes so far.

The difference is due to souses, non-members, etc., not bring a car. Ie, two people sharing a car.

I've added a few more tickets into the shop but I don't have any to post out. What I'll do is see if any further tickets sell before Pod put up their price, then buy those at the discount rate and post them out then. After that, we'll have to price them higher.

I think we should just send passes out with every order (1 pass per order unless requested). Job done.

Some people are bringing two cars, others none.

Pod supply a limited number of passes, maybe half of the number of tickets we buy, as only maybe half the people buying a ticket bring a car to a club stand.

Last year the that rate was a bit higher with over 50 tickets sold and approaching 40 cars.

If we ask pod for 50 parking places and only 30 cars turn up then they won't look favourable on us next time.

Ian, member request from jermain thomas, can we keep him two Sunday tickets?

Well, we've sold out of the original 30, but the plan is to buy some more before the price goes up in maybe 8 weeks or so.

He just needs to buy them before then. Not just after then and still ask for the discount.

After than date we have to pay Pod what ever their price is, though as a club we save a bit on their normal booking fee as we buy them all in one go so only pay one booking fee and one postage.

Weekend tickets book for myself and wife including stand pass request.......

......We are yet to have child care for the 3 rascals and youngest birthday on the Sunday so far from ideal but plan to be there and gives me a deadline to finish one of the 5's :agree:

If by some miracle I have time to finish both will bring both - Would LOVE to drag the RS3 / DSG powered 5 but may have to settle for silver bullet :cool:

after they will all be increased

tickets prices now changed in accordance with pod prices

non members are now 15.50 sunday and 24 weekend

members are 10 sunday and 16 weekend these prices are still discounted for members

if you do order now, tickets and passes will not be sent out till early june as we order the last tickets from pod then

You'll need a weekend ticket for Sat night.

Yes, if you look in the RTOC shop there are non member tickets.

As far as club stand parking, there have been a few non retro cars there. Non Renault and maybe even non turbo. It'll be up to the club stand organising committee, Matt, James, Mick.

robbie camps saturday mark he only goes hotel sunday after show ends:agree:

I'll have to order the last batch of tickets this Friday 1st June.

That allows delivery from Pod, a few days.

Then I post them on Tuesday 5th June or just after.

I won't be buying extra as we get left with them and gives us stress we don't need or want.

So if you want one and have not yet bought, now's the time :)

please can EVERYONE on sunday coming please have there standpasses displayed on there interior mirrors on arrival or pod won’t let you in the stand area, they dont need to be filled in either but if you want can be filled

☆☆☆☆IMPORTANT RETRO SHOW INFORMATION☆☆☆

Please can all that now have a stand pass for the Sunday event, display it clearly in your car so that you can gain access to the stand area. The Pod police WILL NOT let you in if is not displayed.

☆☆☆☆COLLECTING STAND PASSES☆☆☆☆

For those that have not got a stand pass and have asked if there are any spares, RTOC have a VERY LIMITED QUANTITY. We have reserved a handful for those that have asked, but the rest are first come first served.

For the passes you will need to ask an RTOC commitee official. We are identified with name badges and the Renault yellow diamond on the back of our shirts!!! We will be on the stand from roughly 8:45am till 10am. Mick will have the passes. Walk to the stand and collect.

If none are left WE ARE VERY SORRY!

If you are camping on Saturday night, and you can track Mick down, passes may be available.

☆☆☆PARKING ON THE STAND☆☆☆

If everyone turns up, the stand will be very busy. One of the RTOC commitee will Marshall you to a parking space. Please try and park as requested so we can maximise the space allocated. We also kindly request that all cars remain on the stand until at least 2pm.

Dear All,

The annual RTOC national day is nearly upon us (Retro Show - SANTA POD for those that live in a cave) 😆.

As a Mark of gratitude and your continued support for the club, all cars on the stand will be automatically entered into a "Best In Show" competition. The top 3 cars chosen will receive a trophy as pictured, 3rd, 2nd and 1st.

James Surridge (aka "goldfinger") will be the main judge. Some of you that know James will be aware that he is more than qualified for this task, having won a load of show competitions for his own vehicle!

Announcement of the winners will be at 2pm on the Sunday beside the club gazebo.

Big thanks to all involved in the RTOC setup!!!

Really good turn out, good spread of different cars and great to see some old faces!

Our 3 kids even lasted a solid 2hrs (new record lol) which is a 100% better than Sparkie managed ;)

All in all result and helped fuel my revitalised drive to finish the 5's (yes must start some threads with pics to date!)

Even started today with a 'boost' from my new gt turbo mug :cooter:

may i say a massive thank you to all staff, members and others that turned up to attend this years RTOC ND @ pod, the weather was abit iffy this year but lucky stayed fairly dry, the club stand looked again amazing by the work of committee and trina, the stand was the largest at pod too, a fine turn out of loads of renault turbos too, good to see lots of familiar faces and some new ones.

pity robs record breaking 5 wasnt playing but always good to see rob and aud, thanks also for the contributions for robs trip, shop looked good but we sold no banners still, big shout to Mr Simpson that put in a surprise appearance which was good after 14 years of not being there, also miller that probably made the longest trip

overall a great weekend and next year will be as good if not better, my vid will be uploaded soon not much track action this time lol:laugh::laugh::laugh:

RTOC seemed, by a long way, to be the biggest car club there.

From the very brief look around I had, other groups seemed to be in 5's and 10's.

I was just leaving as the infamous Ian S arrived......never knew there was a 14 year drought mind ;)

Banner, never knew they needed shifting as could have had some wall art in the garage of Renault :D

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone involved from RTOC. It was my first club event since joining so was nice to meet everyone and put some faces to the names I’ve spoke to via the forum. Was made to feel genuinely welcome and really enjoyed hearing tales and advice from like minded GTT enthusiasts. Easily the best presented, most organised (thanks to James!) and largest club stand at the event and was proud to represent and be a part of this club. Once again a massive thanks to all involved in making it happen! As Matt said, see you all at the next! ;)
