RTOC National Day Mallory Park
First post!
Hi everyone
Just thought I'd register to say thanks for a fab day at Mallory Park on Sunday - despite the weather we had a great time!
We were in the BMW's (boo lol) my mate's had a Blue E46 M3 and a Black E46 M3 and I was in the Silver E36 328i with my brother
Really good day chaps - some of you guys have some awesome track weapons even though they are wrong wheel drive lol :D
Does anyone have any links to any pics/vids?
Once again thanks for a fab first track day ;)

Re: RTOC National Day Mallory Park
That E36 was a 328i? I thought it was an M3! Looked very nice - lots of carbon fibre :D
You may have seen me perving over it in the morning... I ran off when you came back to the car, lol
-
Re: RTOC National Day Mallory Park
Lol, are you shy Oli?
Thanks for coming along and we're glad you enjoyed it. Which club/person did you hear about it through? :)

Yep it's just a lil 2.8 with lots of AC Schnitzer goodies :D I've got an M3 Evo but I didn't bring it along as a) the brakes are playing up and b) it's so low and wide it'd take me a day to sort the ride height etc out lol
You should have come over and had a chat mate and I'd have shown you it properly - there's more carbon on the inside than there is on the outside lol

My mate Mo (black E46 M3) is on the M3cutters site so he told me about it. I'm on the bmwowner.com forum so next year round I'll spread the word on my forum if you like ;)
It was my first trackday and I've got the track bug now lol really enjoyed it despite the weather and the wasps!

Hi,
I seen this thread and thought I'd sign up to say thanks as well. I thought it was great value for money at £80 and was a fun day despite the weather. Got some good experience of my car in the wet :)
I was in the red e36 328i, if anybody has any photos of my car please pm me, it would be much appreciated!

If you're there next year I'll say hi. Do like e36's. Can see myself getting either an e36 M3 or 328i sport some time soon. Was tempted to get a 328i as a daily but ended up buying an e39 manual 535i sport. :D

I now have a 328i sport with loads of schnitzer bits on it, tidy car as a daily driver, I will put some pics up later

I put up a video of my last session, I pushed pretty hard as it was the end of the day, was pleased to catch the meganes, as they'd previously been a bit quicker than me earlier in the day

E36 328i Sports are very tidy cars, RWD, decent power, good handling/comfort and a lovely engine tone make them fab as dailys. Pus tome pics up, will be good to see some Schnitzer goodness 8)

Nice video mate - nice meeting you too! Need to get an LSD on the 2.8 now after seeing how you were exiting some of those corners in the wet!
There's a link to pics on the m3cutters forum mate - just google "m3cutters mallory park" and the thread comes up! Loads of pics of your E36 on there too!

Not got it yet.. Paid my deposit and picking it up next week hopefully! Can't wait. It's had M5 suspension fitted too, so should be a proper mini M5 :D

Thanks mate was nice to meet you too. Your car looked great, I think silver is the best colour for e36's and it just looked so mean in the paddock with the ac schnitzer bits
Definetely get an M3 3.0 lsd on it, (not the 3.2 it doesn't fit) it's the first time I've been on track with the lsd and the cornering was so much better, and the shorter gear ratio really helps acceleration
Next on the list for mine, get my wheels refurbed as they're a mess and get the BBTB / Manifold and chip, then I'll be sorted :D
Cheers for the link to the photos

Re: RTOC National Day Mallory Park
