Quiet an eventful start to the 2013 speed season. At the penultimate round last year Doris dropped a valve so it was a repaired engine that lined up for the first event at 3 Sisters.
As always the repairs wernt without problems with a subsequent mapping session at scoffs demonstrating a 20 BHP loss for no obvious reason
Anyway compounded to that BHP issue my fellow competitors had developed their cars over the off season and now Mr Russell (Fishy) Herring had a Gripper diff and some other suspension set up mods he was going to see a serious increase in performance. To cap it all they all had the Advan Neova tyre from Yokohama that is a road legal track day tyre.
Anyway long story short I managed to lead the class in the wet but come the dry runs and I was wopped and to add insult to injury another inlet valve broke and I went home on a truck again a distant third with my best time on the drying track.
