The Renault Turbo Owners Car Game

Thanks to a good link from PurpleRob here, a couple of us are willing to give this a go and help run it for the members.

The rules of the comp are as follows.

Each challenge will be held over 12 days, starting from tomorrow morning, Thursday 8th. In those twelve days it is up to the members to go out and get the required photograph set by the challenge. The competition will run over the next 46 weeks (if I can count) meaning there will be 23 challenges. The reason its 46 weeks is because thats how long it is until the 10th National Day on July 28th 2012 and the winner will be announced there!

(if your wondering why its 12 days this gives us 2 days to pick a winner and get the next challenge set! making the two weeks)

The winning photograph will receive 5 points, the 2nd placed 3 points and the third placed 1 point. Now we know and realise not all the members have a Renault Turbo on the road SO an RTOC member can take a picture in his or her non Renault Turbo car. HOWEVER any pictures making the top 3 that are taken in the members Renault Turbo will be given 2 bonus points.

They must be recent photographs!!

The winner of the challenge will get to set the next challenge.

We will post the winning pictures in this thread and pm the winner.

We have set up an email account for you all to send your pictures to, with your online name,and that address is rtocchallenge@hotmail.co.uk

To get the ball rolling we thought it might be worth a nice easy one to get us started so the first challenge set for the RTOC members is as follows:



Get a picture of your car at a Renault Dealer with the showroom clearly visible behind the car.

And so it begins people! :D

This will be fun lol, can I have the extra points if I borrow actual Renault turbos as I don't own one?

Anyone can take a photo of their car in front of a Renault dealership, but to win the challenge, it needs to have that 'something else' factor that catches the judges eye ;)

At the moment no, we'll judge them and put the top three up..No doubt as time goes on Rob we'll be showing other peoples efforts and not just the top 3 :) :agree:

Think that would be quite good as it looks like the topic is dead. Maybe post them on a mirror topic?.

Just to give people an idea here is what Purple Rob took yesterday and sent it in! :cool:

I love this idea.. if I had an R5 I'd do it! but they'd shoo me off the forecourt if I tried to take a photo of my Saxo - that or they'd whip it off me for scrappage :laugh:

There isn't an exact limit to be honest. A lot of those rules were taken from the original idea on the other web site.

We'll just use common sense whilst judging so send in whatever you have.

The next challenge has been set by Andy! Time to get the phones out people and call your fellow RTOC'ers.

The challenge is called 'Turbos Unite' and needs to be a group photo of no less than 3 cars!

There will be bonus points issued for effort on this. Don't forget as well, it doesn't have to be your Renault Turbo if its off the road!

So why not use your every day car? If your Renault Turbo is used you just get bonus points...otherwise normal points. Its all in the OP :)

Just got recovered by RAC and forgot to take a photo, was dark, raining and only had blackberry so might not of been a good pic anyways. Earth from battery melted, on blind corner so had more pressing issues,:cry: RAC driver used to have a 5 and fixed mine on the roadside. Result:smokin:
