Camping weekend at my place.....

I am posting here before moving it into the events sections for now...

I was thinking of inviting a few people down around late june/early july & have a bbq, few beers and work on the cars etc...

When speaking to Charlotte she said why not have it at my parents place as then I can invite more people, and camp in the fields, have a barn to work on the cars if it rains and plenty of parking...

I am sure her parents wont mind and will let us all use the house for showers, electric etc. They have a huge oil drum cut in half to use as a BBQ.

They are out in the country abit, and have a dirt track leading to the house... but no issue for lowered cars providing you go slow (I got the gordini dont there with no problems and thats pretty low).

Would anybody be up for it?

Right got the full ok from Charlotte parents, they have no problem with this and will try to arrange a porta-loo for people.

Looking at dates I am thinking
Friday 23rd July-Sunday 25th
Or Friday 30th July - 1st August

I have put Friday down incase people want to come down the night before and have a full day working on the cars on the saturday... but its upto you...

We will have full access to the barn to work under cover if needed (fits 2 cars) drive way (fit 4 cars & rear pathway next to horse stables 10+ cars)

The field has plenty of land for the mass's and I will speak to charlotte's dad about making a bonfire area so we can have a communal bonfire :-)

This sounds really good, get to know everyone abit better if its open to everyone as above LampsR5 a few lads from our neck of the woods mite be intersted. Although it is a little far.

I can make both dates,but the 30th -1st would be better.i'll be bringing my brother with me :D

Well time is approaching, and as per mass txt's to everybody on my phone i have changed the date...

Saturday 31st July - Sunday 1st August

Camping is optional aswell on the friday...

I am trying to sort out a portaloo or 2 for this weekend.

Just to confirm this is going ahead, I am having slow process getting a port-a-loo sorted, hopefully will sort something out, if not men can wee outside, will let the ladies use the house...

As for times, I wil be of work Friday and will be staying at charlottes house all weekend, so turn up when you like.

Charlottes house is up a gravel track, take it slow and even the most lowest of lowest cars will be fine (its no worse than the track to camping at mallory)

I will be putting up a Gazzebo in case of rain, I am sorting out permission for a group bonfire and arranging for logs to be burnt.

We have a huge oil drum cut in half for a bonfire, we have plenty of wood to be burnt so all you need bring is beer and food for BBQ.

I will be providing black bags, please do use them as it will help if I choose to hold the camping weekend again.

well last night was good. Ray was first here, helped put the gazebo up, got the bon fire going, the rain held off for most off the night. Kris and j turned up around 9, put the tent's up in the dark. A few beer's and alot of food was consummed before turning into bed around 2am :)
