Finally!
At Asda & Morrisons anyway (99.9p per litre).
:)
Feck about. They'll be giving it away up north soon :crap:
My Dad was telling me yesterday, how someone he knows who works for Shell told him technically, it should be under £1 per litre everywhere already, but the only reason it isn't is because non of the petrol companies want to lower their prices first, as they are waiting for the competitors to do it first. Usually the supermarkets first - Which makes sense, as Asda and Morrisons are now 99.9p :)
Where abouts do you live Mart?
Toytown fairyland castle world of Sunderland.
Thought you were from down south?
I am/was.
Is this leading somewhere, or are we playing 20 questions? You geeza.
I take it thats good as my main car is a TDI and i have not touched any other pump than black for years.........BUT to my dismay i remember the last time i drove any r5 the needle actually used to move when putting a 10 spot in it. I was shocked the other day when i did that in my 5 and the needle didn't budge if u ask me................SO LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL.......I wonder how low it will go????
Lol, no.. It's just how Tim said "Feck about. They'll be giving it away up north soon", he confused me as I thought you were from down South. :)
And what are your plans for Christmas & new year Mart? ;)
Tim?
Hello.
You're a fecking space cadet mate. :sad2:
down here diesel is £1.19 stil and unleaded is £1.09
F*cking rip off, even when i get 55mpg i get annoyed having to spend over £100 per week at tesco just on diesel!!
How rude.. Try to be nice, and I get this abuse
107.9p here for unleaded
104.9 is the cheapest I've seen near me.
102.9 round here
104.9 in morrisons up here....must be the east caost North getting it cheap first
Shell, Tesco and Waitrose in Southend are at 103.9 so dare i say it that by the weekend it could be sub £1 a litre as we're usually the cheapest around for fuel. I'll be filling the tank right up Saturday morning :)
Still cheap as a dirty hoe here, £1.46
Whack ya postcode in here and it'll tell you where to get the cheapest fuel in your area :agree:
http://www.petrolprices.com/
Lol it's always right around here, must be those dodgy Bournemouth pensioners updating yours
99.9p thats what dreams are made of! 106.9 in the Tesco/shells around my way!
You know what, i'm a mug. Since I started driving, i've never looked at the price of fuel when I fill up, and that's 7 years now. I do when i'm in other people's cars though...
The price in Peterborough is £103.9 which I was delighted about after it being £109.9/£110.9 the last couple of weeks! Hope the 99.9 comes down here soon though!!:)
First post!
the prices in hemel hempstead are still 104.9 , hope fully they will drop here soon, to 99.9
99.9 for 95 ron at my local tesco garage, 104 for 99 ron, diesel about the same. About time we seen it drop:cool:
£103.9 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Thats crazy money
cheapest I see this way is 104.9p but tescos. last time i filled up there car wouldn't run properly for ages, spluttered about. 108.9p for BP petrol which im happy to pay, dont do many miles :) fill up once a month or so.
The price is usually reflected at the pumps at the end of the week no ?
We should be seeing well under a squid in Swindon in the next couple of weeks! :D
99.9 at my local Asda this morning :agree:
you dont drive so how would you know this:p got fuel yesterday from tesco's 1.02 for super unleaded 99 ron:agree:
Funny people celebrating fuel at a quid a litre :homer:
Maybe if it was back at 85p or so given that oil has halved in price...
14 years ago it was 52p a litre and we're overjoyed that it's only double the cost now?! Lol. That's mega inflation.
Just the way life goes Trev - Obviously petrol prices are still ridiculous, and the prices raise faster than inflation, But it's like, a whole 16pence cheaper than it was a couple / few months ago, and it all adds up. Plus I think a lot of the excitement is that it is certainly a move in the right direction.. Hopefully it will keep going down :)
You never know mate :)
Yeah, I'm quids in because the Prelude is thirstier than the GTT. At about 21mpg :scared:
i remember filling the jet bike/ski up years ago and at about 69.0p - £31
now a days at 99,9p - £45 , so a massive difference even at the lower petrol price.
thats a full tank, which at full thottle use to last just over an hour somtimes.
one of the main reasons i dont do watercrafts no more,
petrol for one days fun £200 - £300.
as appose to back in the day £130 - £190
Talk about dropping over night! It's now £100.9 down by 3p in a night!!
2 tesco garages 10 mile apart down my way are different prices, 111 for super in one and 109 in the other, waiting till tomorow to brim up hoping itll come down a little more
99p down here now :D
should be the same at asda/tesco/sainsbury etc by the end of the day, well, should be :p
you people are lucky diesel here is 124.9
and unleaded is 113.1
to make ya feel even worse...diesel is now 110p here
woo 94.9p at local asda:coffee:
my diesel has also gone down 121.9 now :sad2:

94.9p here in the local Tescos. Still over-priced, but at least its coming down!
Just filled the 182 up, only had 1 notch of fuel left, petrol was 94.9p / l with my 5p off (at sains) I paid 89.9p/l :) Its been a while since it was that cheap... cost £34.80 to fill up :)
99.9p for 99 ron in tesco's here:D
90.9p at Asda. Sainsbury's following suit tomorrow.
Expect sub 90p come the start of next month...

When filling Pat 1 up the other day, I noticed that the fuel garage near my work (BP) is still charging 99.9p for unleaded

aiii, fuel coming down very sharply now LOL
our deliveries at work are costing about 15% cheaper than approx 8 weeks ago.
the supplier said to expect fuel to be in the mid to early 80p bracket by the end of the year :-)
would be even better if diesel dropped as quick as petrol!

Sub 90p a litre has come quicker than expected - Morrisons unleaded now @ 89.9p
Rock on Mart. Due to continue to drop too, or so it would seem. Sub 85p a litre will be good enough for me.
On the Ross thing.
1. He bought a blower, there was a massive bun fight over it.
2. He got another one, this time from the lad above and was supposedly really happy with it
3. It would seem he then sold it on, I'm guessing as part of further questionable business ventures and thus the fuss was all for nothing
4. He's banned for one month being sporadically abusive to all and sundry, lol.
90.4 at Morrisons in Ayrshire. Queued out the station!
Update (8/12/08).
Asda & Morrisons are at it again... :)
Expect unleaded around the 87p mark come midweek this week, and diesel will, at long last, be sub £1 by tomorrow.
88.9 in Saaaarfend at the moment
it was 84.9p at BP in Dunstable last thursday, i filled up for less them 30 quid for the first time in about 2 years :D
Must've had a lucky fill-up then, or someone fecked up on the forecourt pricing as, as of yesterday, unleaded there was/is 89.9p...
I filled up at my local Tesco yesterday and it was 91.9p. With my 5p off voucher it made it the first time i've paid under 90p a litre for too long.
Esso 97ron is 94p a litre at my local garage.
petrol is 88.9p...diesel is now 102.9p :)
thats down here lol
Why is Diesel so much more expensive that petrol.. back about 5 years ago diesel was alot cheaper than petrol.
My car is diesel, i get 45mpg around town... i go through 2 tanks of petrol a week... i hate giving Tesco £100 a week... how much tax is that i am paying to the goverment... these janky roads down here are f*cking ****!! With the amount of money the goverment get from the Fuel Tax the roads should be A* condition!!
diesel is 99p/ltr down here now :D
I filled up the 5 with shell v-power at 97.9, I only went to get a tenners worth to get me by, feck that fill her right up :)
unleaded 87.9 up at my end...diesel is 99.9
still not checked v-power prices
hahaha
anyone???
:)
i think diesel is still 104 round here, more so for the top stuff..
put £15 in the 5 the other day and the difference in needle movement was loads compared to the peek of silly pump costs.. my gauge is sensitive on the first 1/2 of its movement, less so for the second 1/2.. i think i was on par for a £35 fill up?? but when it might only do just over 220 miles:crap:
my vans getting me 200miles to £17 of the expensive diesel:)
petrol will drop a little more yet!!! its currently 88.9p/lt here.
diesel is sub £1 a litre now as well.
i havent found any info on opec actually slowing down the release of oil barrels to inflate the price. But then i got a gut feeling even if they did it wouldnt effect the price at the minute.
the economy is now in the hands of the consumer.
Diesel has just come 99.9p round here petrol is as low as 87.9, Tesco & Shell 98/99 ron is 94.9 round our way.
87.9 in Southend
I went out for a drive last night and what cost me £25-£30 a few months ago now cost only £20-£25 so a big saving on long runs. price depends on how my car is diven.
Did 150 miles on £21 at 87.9 a litre :) 28+ mpg :burnrubber:
Well happy with owning my 1.4 gtturbo, got a new insurence policy.
fully comp. £100 excess.
Breakdown home and abroad.
Insured abroad for 80 days. dont have to give notice unless for more tha 31 days
Agreed value.
am 26 and have access to other other cars.
put my mam on and it made it way cheaper :smokin::cool::cool::cool::cool:
out of interest what are people paying now for petrol/diesel... diesel here is now £1.40 per litre... thats a 40% increase in the last 2 and a half years.. :(
Petrol is 130.9 and diesel is 134.9 here
about £1.34 and £1.38 at Jet up here.
There probably won't be any bloody fuel in 2 years time!!!!
It's getting quite bad now, I even brought a cheap car that does half decent mpg recently just because it was getting so expensive to keep the toys on the road everyday. It's a sad state of affairs. Id be all for a riot over fuel prices, prices have crept up alot in the last 2 years
98 is anywhere between A$1.45-1.65 (90p-110p) per litre. Yes cheaper than UK but the margin has narrowed hugely. Mainly down to the strong Aussie dollar. :(
Car and car parts are massively cheaper in UK though.
Possibly, when we all find out the Libyan oil fields are dry.....:sad2:
95RON £1.33
V Power £1.41
Diesel £1.37
This is Shell
Lack of fuel is not the problem, but the amount we use and the fact most of us need for everyday normality is the big problem.
Just read this and thought wtf, then relised 3 years ago
was watching somthing on the news 2 nights ago said that considering most countries are trying to stop emissions last year was a record high for output lol says alot for the taxes that are there to reduce it, when theirs places like china and india that are growing rapidly and put out even more poloution
