Don't get me wrong I think it's overpriced. Especially when you look at some of the really nice examples from members on here that have been sold for a lot less.

Not overly bad and there will always be bits and pieces that aren't perfect with 20 odd year old cars.

I don't know if anyone already makes them, and wouldn't want to be stepping on anyone's toes. But if anyone needs a conversion pipe like this making up, I make custom exhausts like this for people in my spare time. :)

I saw it a couple of months back with the same pictures as well!! He want either 6k or 7k at the time!!! I'm thinking he's hoping that with a 10k asking price someone might put a "cheeky 5 or 6k bid" in........

I was looking at that one last night. Pretty mad that at one point it sat there and only did 3 miles in 8 years. Must have been kept in a heated garage or something, as my 5 also has probably only done 3 miles in 8 years but its rotten to hell & back underneath.

Well that's a shame as the car looks to be as good as it gets as far as a 'TV show' specimen. I would imagine its nearing engine failure or chronic rust.

Re: likeable bits found on ebay(post here)
Lol Alex it a travesty to o.e but it does look nice in person. I suppose as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.:) I think it looked mean without the hood. Saying that the hood does fit well just needs clips to lock it to the windscreen frame bit.

Re: likeable bits found on ebay(post here)
Each to their own obviously, but to me it looks like someone had a few pints in them one night and thought - yeah I can make a convertable. And gone at it with an angle grinder. Chopped the roof off, stuck a hood on (which looks like it was made for another car altogether) and patched the rest up with MDF! :laugh:

Theres a thread on here somewhere about it. It is a proper ebs but has been butchered:rolleyes: i would have left it in the garage and only bought it out in the sunshine, lol like never. To take it back to o.e is where the money is but it does involve the need of a donor ebs.

Looks like the current owner is fed up with it and tbh it never seemed like Mark ever had it running exactly right either. The time money and effort spent on this car over the last 10yrs and yet here is an advert where breaking the car is being considered. I think it's just one of 'those' cars :(

Re: likeable bits found on ebay(post here)
It's those fking vnt's, everyone that's had one claims they're awesome but the 18months of threads that follows why they try and set them up just says avoid..
He doesn't have a clue, should have taken the vnt off and just had a normal turbo.. He may have had be car running some nice normal power.. MB might have enjoyed taking the engine out every month to fix split liners, blown gaskets, but that new guy clearly hasn't got a clue..
Wrong car, wrong owner..
He should just break it..

It sounds mad on over run in the vids.

I think Bigfoot may have soon time free in 2019 to do that. I think he will be busy scanning the manual I sent in between ;)

Re: likeable bits found on ebay(post here)
Anyone need rivets for the side skirt clips ?. Only 1 set of ten rivets available but cheaper than the usual sources. Perhaps if someone has a contact at Peugeot we could find out the Peugeot part number. We may be able to get them cheaper than Renault and have them in the shop to go along with the side skirt clips ?.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-20...QGLegzU6EQd-zQ
EDIT - Looks like the Pug part number is 874220.
EDIT 2 - After a bit of googling I have just enquired about a bulk quantity of these Peugeot rivets. If the price is favourable I will let Ian and Dale know all the details.

That's a great find :agree: and would go well with the clips.
Keep us posted mate.:)

Re: likeable bits found on ebay(post here)
So after some more searching it seems the rivets were used on not just Renaults and Pugs.
The below is translated from a Spanish ebay listing and gives us some more avenues to explore with regards getting these for a better price than current :agree:
Article numbers; -
* - RENAULT 7703072289 (side skirts Renault SUPERCINCO for example) -
* - PEUGEOT 874 220 (aletines Peugeot 205 GTI or wheel arch) -
* - FORD TAUNUS / CORTINA -
* - CITROEN 7703072177 (CITROEN AX, CX CITROEN, ... CITROEN C 15 foci trims citroen c 15 for example) -
* - GM OPEL 24413714 (sills and door trim Opel Astra GSI 16V for example) -

Thanks for the details, will be in club shop when they arrive at around £5 for a set of 10. Better than £20 for 5 :)
Always open for ideas for club shop

Re: likeable bits found on ebay(post here)
Although they look decent, if it were me I would save my money and put it toward one of the 2.5' ones being fabricated by matty currently.
But then I suppose it depends what your after I guess. If its for a std car and just to tidy things up then it would probably be worth it, but if your looking for any performance gain then I wouldn't bother.

Re: likeable bits found on ebay(post here)
Agreed. This might be a good replacement for the standard item and looks to include a lambda port. If it's quality is sound then for that price it's excellent.

Re: likeable bits found on ebay(post here)
New rear quarter panel. Could be useful for someone, although its not a GT Turbo one as the arch is the wrong shape. currently 99p and no bids so someone could get a good deal.

Re: likeable bits found on ebay(post here)
Lots of items but a lot of scrap, good price for the items but its the space to put it all and sort out. With the way prices are going I can see in there that you could get the £1k back quite quickly selling the items but would it be worth the hassle doing all that work splitting it up and posting. If restoring, I would look at the bits you need rather than going this route as will be more hassle in long run.
