25th & 26th May: Enfield pageant of motoring

Hi all
I will be setting up stand at this event again this year and would like as many of us on there as possible. It was a great weekend last year the weather was spot on, there was entertainment all day,lots to see and do,and lots of interest in the club and our cars.
I have just got off the phone with June Bayer (big cheese) she says that we can take two pitches next to Renault Enfields pitch if theres enough interest each pitch holds ten cars.
It's free entry with your pass plus passenger is free otherwise it's £10 on the day.
Flyers and member packs would go down well also.

Scott and dale and I have all said we'll go to as many local meets/events as possible.

Morning all
This event is now only 2weeks away.
The meeting point for both days will be at ...... 1 dearsley road, enfield, Middlesex, en1 3rr , its a mcdonalds carpark that is very close to the event and is very easy to find as is located on the A10. Please try to be at this point by 10am so I can hand out all of the passes for the event. We must be on site by 11am at the latest so if you are running late and we have left the carpark call 07871554988 I'll meet you at the event entrance but no later than 11:15am because health and safety close the gate.
Really looking forward to this now as its getting closer and hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do. Safe journey everyone. Soap:smokin:

think the only member using that route would be James Poole it might be worth you linking up with him as its his first time at this event, being you know where krispys is your a perfect candidate:cooter:

The judges are the EVVFT the organisers of the event think the top prise is £250 but the competition is epic :eek:

I just spent all day today getting the 5 ready for the show. Fogs now work and the exhaust no longer rattles!! Seats all tidied up. Just need a good valet and detailing.

I have a pal that does a really good job of detailing and valeting the legendary Girbil ,there are a few on this club that have had there's done by him, all love the results. Its ok Dave I was a virgin to this last year too:smokin:

I think Tom and I are gonna make a weekend of sorting the cars out. I've just got back from a 50 mile cruise around the roads in Essex and I've fallen in love with my car again.
It's running great. I'm going to pop a new alternator on it this week as the bearing sounds a bit noisey. And a new water pump soon for peace of mind as it looks old- but it'll all be ready for the show. I'm really looking forward to this, and its not far from me which is a massive bonus.

I have a few places left for Saturday if anyone is interested Sunday is now full :smokin:

Soap, I cant remember how i left attending both days but im defo 100% coming Saturday but not entirely sure i can make the Sunday.
I may pop down for an hour Sunday but wont be staying as im working.
Just in case someone else asks to attend.

Also, i know were meeting at Maccy Doo Dars on A10 @10am?,

But if you're heading south, the traffic heading south on the A10 turning right on Carterhatch lane can go all the way back to Hoe street taking 45 mins!

Instead, people should chuck a left on Carterhatch and do a u-turn then go straight over, or go down spin round at crown road or Southbury road.

Yes Stu agreed, hopefully won't be too bad early sat/sun. I would say to anyone attending give yourself plenty of time and have a sausage and egg mcmuffin while you wait.;)

Thanks for the offer mate but its my lads birthday today and I cant get out this evening.

Top day and great meeting up with rtoc members new and old, plus finally saw the turbo 2 which my manager at work kept talking about. Shame about the common colour of the raider being there. Think going to have to choose a less common colour now

Hi everyone much enjoyed day out glad to meet up with some other 5 owners will be looking forward to some of the other events in the coming months
Thanks to soapy for all the arrangements and bringing the weather

Was an excellent day, although my Clio looked a bit odd amongst all the really nice 5's :)

I hope everyone enjoyed this weekend as I did, it really was a fantastic time.
This event now I hope will be more and more popular and will be bigger and better in 2014.
Think next year will call for camping over the weekend with bbq and lots to drink as is the rtoc way;)

This was a really great event, nice to meet some more members, a great day had by all, I managed to take 300+ photos so will get them up soon. Thanks soapy for organising this.
