Re: staffs/cheshire dyno day @ wgt 19th may
Only 3 renaults ? What a shame. Still, it was 3 more than turned up to my Cliosport RR day recently!! Just as well you invited the fords. :)
I had to work today and Glenn's clutch is dead, waiting on a new multi plate to be made.

Re: staffs/cheshire dyno day @ wgt 19th may
yes mate only 3 renaults ran was 4 in total as gibbo came along. bit of a shame really but i know paul and ash who was meant be running have both had engine problems so couldnt make it and obviously mine is off the road.
thats really bad that nobody turned up for that day mate, they was probably too busy polishing there cars

Re: staffs/cheshire dyno day @ wgt 19th may
also id have to state that alex's car was really good on the dyno, fuelling was bang on the money and made good power/torque for around 1bar boost

Not too brilliant, only 92 bhp:(
Fuelling looks like its all over the place - so a carb rebuild is required, then hopefully it will record a figure nearer standard.
Worst part of today was when my dashboard clock visor decided to bid for freedom! Prob is its snapped inside the dash and i cant get the snapped piece out

Re: staffs/cheshire dyno day @ wgt 19th may
Shame it wasn't a better turnout of renaults andy but great results for the ford boys
-
Re: staffs/cheshire dyno day @ wgt 19th may
was good to meet you james, as we said might be best do a good strip down and rebuild of the carb and also check the compression before going any further. should be easy enough get another 25-30bhp back

yeah i must say i was rather gutted by the turn out from rtoc members but as said there would of been 3 more running but situations halted them.

Re: staffs/cheshire dyno day @ wgt 19th may
yes get one of them kits fella, then give all the jets a good blow through with an air line if possible.
might be worth investing in a new mixture screw and idle valve they dont cost much at all.

Re: staffs/cheshire dyno day @ wgt 19th may
Cheers for organising the day Blunty, had a good time. Shame more didn't turn up as mentioned, but it happens unfortunately
Very happy with the way my car performed, not big figures but good for 1 bar boost. More importantly the fuelling is on the money :)
SB, I think a good service is needed on yours. Get yourself a carb kit from the shop and strip it all down, clean and check the jets etc. I'd also change all the filters etc if you haven't already. :agree:
-
Re: staffs/cheshire dyno day @ wgt 19th may
Yea cheers for organising it Blunty, good to meet you and a few other members.
Nice to know my fuelling is spot on. I think I need to arrange a visit to see Scoff though, get my boost increased as its running a bit low.

Re: staffs/cheshire dyno day @ wgt 19th may
Well done Blunty, as you mentioned shame that we only had 4 renaults but good to catch up with new & old... :)
Was disappointed to find that Blunty was struggling confirm members, that had previously put names down to run, Blunty works hard arranging these days & does it in his own time for the good of the club....Common decency if you ask me!!
