How much for your old tubular manifold?
 loving that manifold mate!
Sexy as feck :)
are you going to crank up the boost too? how the engine went before i can only imagine how it'll respond to more boost since the last head upgrades :agree:
any more news on this Robbie? Been keeping my eye on this :D
not much happening at the moment due to no work or money:( but i had the subframe sand blasted and i fully seam welded and extra plated it and fitted williams power steering rack with 106 electric pump and the vw selector stick pictures added below.
update its alive and it moves with 6 forward gears:) pictures below should be ready for mot this day next week and then back to pod for end of may:smokin:
Looking good robbie :agree:
looks fantastic :)
Good stuff Robbie :) looks fantastic :D
Awesome stuff.. Pod at the end may? Isit just a rwyb day?
Well done rob you've done a great job fingers crossed it all stays together now for you mate now crank up that booooooooooost :D
Really admire these kinds of projects, a lot of thought and effort clearly going in:agree:
Nice one:agree::agree::cool:
yep 100%agree lot of effort going on here , great work:cool:
ps- any chance of some piccys of the anti flex struts that you fitted to the front wishbones :D i know you fabricated and fitted some ;) nobody has 500+bhp and lives with standard wishbone flex;)
me and jp oli are in need of some sooner rather than later , curious to which area they connect to:p
pps- good luck with the test and tune on friday:cool:
hope all goes as you expect it:cooter:
I've just used anti roll bar drop links off a Renault traffic van nice and cheap £20 off ebay, one end just bolts to the inside hole of the ball joint on wishbone and then just weld a small plate to subframe for the other end of drop link been running these when it was a c1j makes a big difference pulls 1.6 sixty foot at pod with these before only 1.9 picture attached
I dont have access to a welding set at the mo, do you think a heavy piece of plate bolted to the subframe will be adequate?
I don't see why it wouldn't work. There isn't much room though and your wheels may catch slightly on full lock so allow for that.
Mine did anyway and I welded mine.
if you can get two bolts in the plate it should be fine but you need to keep the plate small and tight to the subframe so the wheels clear on full lock.
vivaro links are even cheaper :D

Some amazeball over-engineering and fabrication, love it :D :agree:
How did you get on Friday then Rob?
i read on the engine-dynamics website that the injectors were maxed out. what injectors are you running mate?
more importantly than that, what power did it make, and where did the gt35 run out of puff......... it had to be somewhere close to or maybe, just maybe slightly above the 600 bhp mark :cooter:;)
you have been very quiet about the tune day for the last few days:laugh::laugh::D
any news on this yet? been a bit quiet lately :D

Wow. Just wow!
Quick question - who made up the PAS pipe which joins to the electric pump? I asked loads of pneumatic specialists around my area and nobody had the correct parts to make me one.
thinkautomotive will make you power steering lines, slight set back a the moment with the car and im to busy at work aswell but should be back out for the end of season:devil:
Class fella
just thought I update this thread well had I few problems with this vw gearbox conversion at the end of last year when I ran at santa pod I broke a driveshaft straight away and destroyed the gearbox aswell at the same time ,because I had a cheap lsd fitted when the driveshaft snapped the diff exploded and destroyed the hole gearbox. So now I got a fully rebuilt gearbox again but this time its fitted with a proper quaife diff and life time warranty.
also fitted new intercooler and changed inlet manifold throttle position and running coil plugs now instead of a coil pack.
that's it for now but the car is ready to rock and make some boost pictures added below regards turboted
Blimey Robbie.. I never new you destroyed to G/B :(
Crikey Robb, the cheap LSD is that not the same one Scoff uses?
As always your work looks fantastic:agree:
Hope the gearbox issue will be over now mate!
Exactly the reason why i used a quaiffe right away!
Looks awesome as always btw, what cops are they?
Looks like they fit perfectly on the f7's head.
i had that OBX diff from the usa a quaife copy it just fell apart when the shaft broke, the coil plugs are off a civic type R there pretty much a straight fit Arthur regards turboted
Good work Rob, I hope to see this run sometime this year so keep us updated when you are hitting Pod.
I know you are moving back across to the emerald isle, will you still be popping over for events ?
well done ted looks the nuts. I thought about using a OBX diff but had a good look at the reviews and decided against it. Hope to see your car up and running this year be good to have another chat too. Really should pull my finger out today so i can start to refit my engine soon not much to do to mine to have it running again :)
Good to see the cops fit that good, i did buy a wasted spark coil from Chris but fancy cops more.
No more leads, look cleaner and they are strong too!
Will look into fitting them on my turbo engine too as the standard ignition doesn't cope well with 330bhp
Dare i ask how much you paid for the coils?
see the video of it boosting down the street other day. Looks like a lot of fun to say the least!
