Re: Practicle Performance Car Party in the Park, 23rd May, Mallory Park
Yo Dudes - Got me tickets booked but not recieved yet:confused: but is there any Friday night shinanigins on site or just Saturday night?:smokin:
-
Re: Practicle Performance Car Party in the Park, 23rd May, Mallory Park
The only friday night mischeif that'll be taking place is what you create yourself :D
The evening entertainment (feck knows what that is, my money is on some fat northern comedian  ) is saturday only. Andy, do you need a stand pass sending for your car or are you coming with Ross?

Re: Practicle Performance Car Party in the Park, 23rd May, Mallory Park
I'm bringing me scooby (don't worry this is only temporary until I've got mine sprayed, I'm struggleing at the mo'. apparently colour sanding with 400 grit is a no - no :scared:) not only that i'm going as support for Ross' car which got back on the road over the weekend. There are potentially 4 more fives to come back on the road this year as they have all been off for restoration work of some kind or another. So no pass for me thanks, unless you want a crappy WRX wagon on the stand:disagree::disagree:
After being out in ross' car over the weekend mine felt very slow driving back home after the fueling milarky. I'm sad for me WRX :( but hell yeh for Ross's 5 - quite impressive to say the least:p
See you next weekend for a beer or 2.

Re: Practicle Performance Car Party in the Park, 23rd May, Mallory Park
Gates open at 7am for £999 challange entrants and traders and around 7.45-8am for all others.
If you've booked tracktime the first drivers breifing will begin at 8.30am. The show itself is due to get going around 9am.
The saturday night entertainment goes on all night as well apparently :D
Im really looking forward to this, i think it's gunna be very different from the usual Santa Pod type plastic cars with flip paint type events.
Weather forcast is pretty good as well.

Re: Practicle Performance Car Party in the Park, 23rd May, Mallory Park
no flip paint , but i'm bringing some brown - is that acceptable :smokin:

Millie & I are just back from the PPC show at Mallory Park & have to say it was a Bl**dy good day!!!
Good show, interesting cars & a little track action to boot!!! ;)
Nice shakedown for the Clio before next week's Pod weekend also!!
Great to see all the usual suspects & meet more of the guys from the far east! :niceone:
All credit to Miller for changing the clutch on his Paxo that let him down at Knutsford Services on the way down!! 6 hours groping underneath a Citroen ain't fun!! :sad2:

Re: Practicle Performance Car Party in the Park, 23rd May, Mallory Park
Was Ok, but I've seen it all before and I think I've now had my fill of park up and wander about type events . Did Prescott on Sunday as well which was much same and to be honest I'd rather be thrashing the car or fixing it these days .

Re: Practicle Performance Car Party in the Park, 23rd May, Mallory Park
Hi Ya'll
Was a good event, good to see the PPC cars, staff and all the usual members we usually see from far and wide. Respect to Miller but serves you right for driving a Saxo - thats kama for you- so it's not just 5's.
The evening band seemed to be of good quality but the events tent was a bit of a sham really as therer was a lack of atmosphere and most people did what most people do at these things and whent bac to the camping are and cracked a few cool ones open and burnt something else on the barby. Talking of burning things, I my o my was it hot!!!!!
Yo Steve - nice to see you and yours also - we find it difficult to get the rest of the east side massive to these events, we do contact all those in the area but like you say 'divide by 3' hope there's a better turn out for you on Friday at the pod.
On Sunday I wandered back into the track area to see a little track action including a yellow 5 driven by 'Clarke' it was doing well.
In all a good few days and a break from the norm, see you at the next one - possibly the world series.
:agree:
